another thing, when change gear, the rpm will go up abit although i already release fuel paddel before press clutch, why har?
*
this is purposely set this way i think, coz the campro characteristic: the torque dip issue.

thus, when u change gear, it is deliberately to program the engine to auto rev and keep the rpm high and drop slowly so that it can gain the momentem when the next gear shift in.

maybe i am wrong.

hi there.

persona is among the cars to be considered in few months time. however, the price of just 50K plus has edged it ahead. however, there are some of the things i need to ask the others.

1) can i replace the middle ICE unit with a touchscreen unit? is there anyone ever do this?
2) the mirrors. can i install indicators on them? i mean signal indicators. the modification is minor but, has anyone ever bother think about it. look nicer what..
3) The new Waja light to replace the existing Persona headlight. any possibility?

the three (so far) changes i am asking are that i believe will make the persona more 'luxurious' feel. i am not into racing thing but i want a car that is cheap in reality, but when u sit inside or look at it, u may go.." this is not bad"..

2. got ppl from g2c hav side mirror with indicators, but i dunno whr he bought it or how he did it..
3. u cant chg the headlight, even if its possible, its illegal as u chg the persona ori headlight design..

that's because the drive by wire throttle. the throttle response will be a few milisecond slower than normal drive by cable throttle. And don't forget the reesponse time for the stepper motor inside the throttle that even slower down the response from your pedal..nowadays most newer car comes with drive by wire throttle. go and see ur gas pedal, u will notice there's no cable but only wires attached with a black box with stepper motor inside..that's drive by wire...
google it for more info.

mine around 1100rpm-2000rpm...sometimes got rough sound (like big exhaust sound) and pedal abit vibration...but slam the front bonnet hard no sound...but after like crusing at speed at 80/90km long time..the sound is back...or high revving also do produce the rough sound... doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif

it sound like not smooth..after 2000rpm..the sound back to normal like what other cars sounded.....slam the bonnet no sound d.. hmm.gif  hmm.gif

try to send 2 S.C dont know the problem...cant solve...

This thing happpens in all Persona.

Just run up to rpm 2,900 which is close to 100km/h you will be the rough harsy sound with some vibration feel at the pedal. Run up a little speed & its smooth after rpm2,900.
Some complaint its drive shafts ....try to check them with Proton Edar service centre & not any appointed workshop.
Mine just reduce the feel...& I'll go for next 10,000 km service for to rectify again.
Someone got it rectify with some thing added to reduce harness at the shafts area. Some dampener I think...

I too need help in this matter..as I'll be sending for 2nd service soon.

yep, i felt it as well. What i do is release the pedal a lil then press it back slowly. The vibration should be gone. felt like i'm tunning the car with my feet. hehe.. Anyway, currently my car have a wierd squeeking sound at from the back when i'm moving arround bumps or not so smooth terrain. hm... dunno why...

mine got a little bit same problem with you. have to press fuel pedal a lot - till 2000-3000rpm before it will shift from gear 1 - 2 or 2 - 3. i think you should schedule right now to see the SC. because, last week i just visited a small SC at keramat. they suspect got problem with fuel pedal. the problem also make the car very low pickup. otai-otai.. what do u think?
*
the problem was solved. i went to the Proton SC Cheras yesterday and they told me, it's something wrong about paddle configuration. because nowadays, the pedal is not manually let the oil flow, but the computer does it. so after reconfigure the paddle system, the car is back to normal. if anyone face the problem, may go to Proton SC, and very happy to deal with Proton SC Cheras. In more details, just use the word - "drive by wire". thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

i'm not sure about manual persona. but for persona highline auto, it's make a lot of different. before this need to push till 3000rpm before the gear changing automatically, but after the service, you drive 20km/h also have smooth change of gear. there also some 3rd party parts which can improve pickup for this campro i found in the thepersonaclub forum but don't know so much.

Mine's from the air-conditioning. This only comes if I'm travelling 180kh/h at 4300RPM. Strong smell!  cry.gif Am not sure how to solve this, will inform SC personnel upon my 10k service (Which I'm still due for  shakehead.gif )
