Bcs I really don't see what so beautiful of the ending???
I felt they would spend more time one it. Was the ending really about Paul? To me it was just about Vin Diesel. Suddenly Vin Diesel wanna go back leaving his friend and wife there on the beach, then Paul Walker chase him... Beautiful really????
I expected some emotional speech from cgi Paul telling the gang that was his last ride and say goodbye. Then maybe a last race with Vin diesel or something.

I found it ending tribute to Paul a let down. Unless I miss out on something. Can someone explain please...

Lol...why u have to be such a spoil sport...we already got dudes in here professing that they shed manly tears at the end scene...maybe you don't have an attachment to the Brian O Connor character lol.

I watch every movie of FF, Brian was my favorite character. Put aside Paul Walkers death just pretend you didn't know he died. After seeing that ending i would expect him to still be around in the next FF movie. I was expecting a closing of the chapter of Brian character for good, like he telling the gang goodbye thats it for him now, you never will see him again.

But the way the movie ended it was mehhh.. But i see and hear quite a number of people praising it and crying...

After reading all ur comment and praise on the ending scene, its make me shed to tears.. Wonder I can stand that during movie this weekend.

Honestly speaking for me the ending part was never really about the movie anymore, its more of like a tribute for Paul Walker. U can clearly see all the actors literally crying/sadding when they watch Brian play with his family at the beach. From that moment i knew already that it is literally a tribute for him. Then when Dom said about Never Goodbye and all, with the flashback between both of them, clearly it was meant for Paul, not Vin Diesel. And if u noticed when Dom at the T-junction and Brian come beside him in his white Supra with a white shirt, this clearly means something here. (If im not mistaken Brian wears blue shirt at the beach, but white shirt when he "race" with Dom for one last ride.) And then when they go separate ways with the background song See You Again by Wiz Khalifa and then the word For Paul written there, really sadding liao.

To me it is not really an ending for Brian's character, its more of like an ending for Paul Walker. Thats why the ending is kinda like ambiguous, we may see Brian's character in the future or we may not. Its more of like a tribute for Paul Walker in the flesh of Brian O'Conner.

Paul walker's influence & the F&F brand is huge in this franchise. People from all walks of life especially millions of (amateur) car enthusiast find some affinity for what it represents.
Sure, there are cheesy moments & some crappy dialogues but i find Fast 5 within the series as the single most important that ties all the former to current furious films, kinda stepped up the whole series. (F5 was my personal favourite in all, even after watching this),

Paul's passing as unfortunate and it was only a little more than halfway filming. They had to rethink the script to kinda let off paul with a without letting viewers and his fans feeling wrenched out. There were too many unshot scenes of paul to fully immerse his character in this film. I kinda guess those parts out aside from the..




I hope this franchise ends with this as the last film. for paul & the f&f franchise...

Yup, totally agree with u. Yup, not the best that is why i will never rate the movie, cause we don't know what's the original plan for the movie since they need to change the script because of Paul's unfortunate event. I can say Paul only did 70% for the movie, the rest we can clearly see the CGI faces of him. And yup, F&F will never be the same without him.

its really depend how u gonna judge for this movie.

for me, i enter the cinema with a mindset " this is last F n F series, its never same when no more Paul walker" ..yes, its more on action than racing..
and the ROMAN keep throw a lot of joke make me temporarily forget about my mindset.

When its come to the end, at the beach, i saw all the actors actually holding their tears to finish the scene.
When its show the flashback between DOM n Brian, seriously, my tears drop ..yes or not..it touch my heart...

For me, its perfectly to let Paul Walker or Brian this character move out from the rest of F n F later on.........

I dare to say this is one of the best movie ever And definitely the best FnF movie in the franchise.

I agree that it's one of the best instalments of the franchise. Ranks third in my book. Well done, James Wan!
