Surprisingly no one also mentioned that Justin Lin is no longer the director for Fast and Furious 7 because he didn't feel there is enough time to get the last installment ready next summer, which is what the studio wants. For those who manage to get the DVD & listen to the director's commentary, one will understand the evolving characters of the franchise. no point revisiting what was done in the first, second, because the overall fans wants to know the graduation story. I dont know if Justin Lin will be involved in the 7th, while i think the best amongst all to me was the first. I did cringed at his first effort (tokyo drift) but maybe it was more of the missing original F&F characters, it didn't seem right & fitted. Justin's effort in the fourth of the series was ok (better then his F&F TD), while clearly maturing in his effort for Fast Five. Really, get the understand why the series has evolved, the DVD commentary is an enlightenment for fans of this franchise.

Well, the movie kinda started off very well. The opening credits had all the previous Fast & Furious instalments in clipped highlights and as how we remembered each characters. Beautifully shot around the narrow streets but i thought they should made it a bit more grittier drive though it probably might overshadow/anti climax to the scene where the story begins. Overall, FAST 6 felt weak(er), kinda rushed. kinda under developed compared the the incredible heist in rio. Rio was fun, Rio heist has all the ingredient to leave the viewers at the edge of the seats. "B R A Z I L" as Dom would call it. Fast 5 was so enjoyable to me & others too. However this F&F6 doesn't seemed to know where it wanna go. Sure we have a B A A A D guy by the name of Owen Shaw. He looks intimidating but while he seemed like the european version of Dom, he never felt really B A D or cruel or seemed a true evil screamer in the crocked sense. maybe its just me. The street race thru london, well, it does look kinda 'real' (not cliche like in tokyo race) but again it wasn't gritty enough. He does looks like Brian o Conner, walks like Brian, acts like Brian. Maybe it was early early days of the franchise where that hip hop style video was typical.
