@TeraPox,
I never said it was difficult to obtain, I just find it troublesome. I was invited by Amex once a couple of years ago but I didn't need it then so I declined the invitation. Now, I feel I don't want to go on using Citibank as my primary card and thus far it looks like MBB Amex gives out pretty good benefits hence am opting for that smile.gif

@TeraPox,
I took that into consideration but when I asked the Maybank officer earlier, she tells me if U haf good payment record and if U use that card as your primary card, U probably be able to call for a waiver.

@saerah80,
Having a credit card doesn't necessarily mean U should spend the $. If both the cards are free, U could just keep one at home. Don't tell urself U haf lots of $ cause U will need to repay them back at the end of the month. If u really can't, I suggest U cut off the HSBC one since that gives u RM7k limit tongue.gif

@kon,
Yes there's no point asking for higher CL if ur not oredi utilising ur current CL. However, spending 90% of total CL doesn't guarantee or help in the banks' assessment on giving u additional CL.

@TeraPox,
I average between RM2k-RM3k p/month on credit card bills hence am planning to take advantage of the 2X TreatPoint rewards scheme; that's the main reason for opting for MBB Amex.

@jchong,
Wow.. U still haf that 187k figure with U huh?! *grins* Ah well.. don't haf to tell the whole world mah, isn't it? wink.gif And U the one who convinced me.... to accumulate 187k points with Citibank, I'll need to spend RM187k. With MBB Amex, I onli need to spend half that amount mah smile.gif

@vin_ann,
Thanks! smile.gif

@naz,
HSBC booths are available at Gardens & Mid Valley; at least the last time I was there it was there and it gave me the impression it'll be there for quite a while. You perhaps could check that out or if u really wish, U could just download the application form online and fax it in [perhaps they even have an online application?]

AhH.. Ur in LUCK! I just found the salesperson who helped me on my HSBC Gold Credit Card. Have PMed U his contact details.

@TeraPox,
And what would U like to know? My sister's bf holds DA Platinum.

@vin_ann,
I don't like my purse/wallet to be too heavy or bulky so I refrain from carrying too many cards. I used to keep my DA credit card at home but since it does give me some benefits I haf since started carrying it out with me; I will haf to keep it in my wallet cause I intend to use that to at the petrol stations smile.gif

@vin_ann,
I use to keep all my assets (in cash form) w PB but surprisingly they never offered me a Credit Card. I took my car loan with EON Bank but again was never offered a credit card from them but it's alright.... smile.gif

Also, 4 cards really wouldn't make the wallet that bulky. I carry with me about 4 credit cards too;
1) HSBC Gold Credit Card
2) DA Gold Credit Card
3) Citibank Clear Credit Card
4) UOB Platinum Credit Card
5) Citibank Platinum Credit Card

OopSs...I meant 5 ! *grins* [well, it was only in the recent months when I started carrying the DA with me]. The 6th one being my HSBC Premier Credit Card is left in the house. Perhaps I should carry that instead of (1).

@TeraPox,
Y don't U just cancel ur EON and go with RHB [btw, this Priority Lounge thing wasn't in their list of benefits when I checked their website earlier]. Am afraid I don't know any RHB Credit Card sales executive.

Anyhow, when U find that RHB person, do let us know what the criterias are. I still think this benefit is onli applicable to those holding their Visa Infinite Card.

@vin_ann,
I'm not interested to debate over the different categories of card. Like I said, a card is a card regardless of whether it's a Classic, Gold, Platinum or Black.

@TeraPox,
CC is onli good for those who's able to manage their finances proper. Like U mentioned, some people think they need to utilise all CL given by the bank. Such mentality would only bankrupt the user.

Also, paying up in full each month doesn't necessarily mean the bank can't charge U annual fees.
