@vin_ann,
The 2% rebate from DA is only applicable on their MasterCard, not Visa. I believe what arsenal meant is that when U put in an application for a credit card, DA will issue U both their Visa & MasterCard! |

@hye,
The RM my folks deal with is pretty hot except she's not too familiar with Consumer Banking; she's apparently more of an Investment Advisor - could introduce her to U if U want. Wouldn't know if U had a chance or not though, sorry. Yes, am quite amazed with the salesperson's attitude; I would have been turned off too. Didn't U just cancel ur Citibank card btw? Y the sudden interest in reapplying for another? |

@jchong,
U certainly been mistaken - Y would I not keep the good ones for myself? @navilink, I don't think Citibank has a policy to just 'cancel' or 'waive' ur annual fees until U speak with their CS - even then, they can't tell U so much in advance. |

@jchong,
Sure but Y would I want to introduce my HOT RM to such an eligible bachelor? I might as well keep him (eligible bachelor) for myself, right? And we're totally OT! |

@hye,
UOB's Preferred Platinum looks quite good with quite a lot of additional benefits too; esp for golfers. Then again, for those who's able to attain this card, they probably oredi have their own golf membership I've no intentions to change to this card unless UOB does an automatic upgrade - too much hassle and don't have the energy to keep tab of what's what. PS: I could intro her to U, on condition I get the Seoul trip, not her! |

Prompt payment doesn't mean U have to pay in full. As long as U make ur payments promptly [based on min payment] ur considered a prompt paymaster.
@hye, Hmm.. RM30 per supp card?! Now that is not good news! This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Jun 13 2008, 09:33 PM |

@hye,
Yeah... RM10! And that is the onli reason Y I continue to keep UOB. Ah well.... perhaps they might consider waiving the fees for supplementary cardholders too? I haven't decided if UOB's going to be my primary bank but if it is I probably join up with sis since she's oredi an existing member; that way it's easier to accumulate the UNIRinggit reward points. Might as well put these benefits to good use right? |

@siutimtim,
I don't see a need to proof to U I'm a UOB Platinum cardholder. I don't know about their offers because I don't bother checking - am also not a golfer so Y should I bother checking? I oredi said before about using Citibank as my primary credit card and that is still the case; I haven't moved away from Citibank yet. I sure am glad/happy for U that ur a UOB Platinum cardholder `k - even if it's the ONE Platinum. @mustang, Amex has a different reward point system - if U want to be part of that, U need to pay an annual fee. @kenneth87,
U need to be >21 before U can be a principal credit card holder so the moment U reach 21 U should be able to get one. I don't see a problem in u securing a credit card. As to MBB or RHB, go through their list of benefits for the card category ur applying for and ask urself which one's going to give u more benefits and go with that |

@mustang,
AMEX Membership Rewards is a totally separate scheme from the MBB TreatPoints scheme. For RM25 [Non Traveller] U will also get to enjoy benefits offered by this AMEX Membership Rewards. I believe U will need to make a request to AMEX should U decide to participate in this program. @David83, Yup that's right. They're both independent of each other. |

@TeraPox,
I had NO idea there was a Priority Lounge @ LCCT. Am also wondering if U know whether Citibank has the same priviledge in accessing that lounge? I do know we can get into the Priority Lounge @ KLIA. So, RHB gives better benefits when it comes to these lounges huh?! Now, I certainly have to consider RHB!! *ggrRrrr* PS: I am also assuming this benefit is meant for their Platinum cardholders? |

@TeraPox,
I just checked RHB's website. Apparently, only the Visa Infinite credit card allows access into airport lounges. My question now is, how difficult is it to obtain this card as opposed to their usual Platinum card? Also, are U issued a separate Priority Pass membership card or is it linked with ur Visa Infinite card? This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Jun 16 2008, 02:05 PM |

@TeraPox,
I doubt I'll want to utilise the priority lounges if I had to pay a fee. The benefit is to be able to utilise it with no additional charges. @hye, I don't haf so much $ to become Privilege Banker @ every other bank @pisang, I thought banks knew exactly how much CL ur other credit cards have - thought it was centralised in their system. That way, they're able to gauge total credit risk. Anyhow, I don't see a reason for U to have to lie to ur bank. U could always request for a higher CL. @kons, That theory isn't proven. |

@TeraPox,
Standard Chartered's Visa Platinum will give u that Priority Pass access but U will need to pay to get in. I assume it is free with EON Bank's Platinum cards? Ah well, I don't travel that much but it would be great to have one... I've got access to KLIA's Priority Lounge through Citibank but I don't believe that's extended to the LCCT lounge. Anyhow, ain't travelling until Oct but that's with a whole bunch of people and through LCCT.... I just want to get my hands on the MBB Amex though except I find it too troublesome if I have to send them my bank statements, and BE forms and etc etc. |
