Your credit record with the banks are stored for 1 year if I'm not mistaken.

i dont think ur "bad" financial record can just disappear after 1-3 years......

i dont think it will disappear......its the same like criminal......once u have record...it wont disappear......

I suppose that is true but 'viewable' records are for a year only, isn't it? At least that is the case according to the CCRIS website [I thought I read about it before somewhere]

but there is a limit for the rebate each month... if i'm not wrong, it's RM50.

Yes that is right. The max rebate on the DA MasterCard for petrol is RM50; which equates to RM2500 worth of petrol.

If Ur using it for personal consumption, RM2500 p/month on petrol should be more than enough.

All credit cards only allow max 50 bucks rebate....

well, better than nothing lor... every month i got a few bucks rebate..

if i'm not wrong, the record will be kept for 1 year only... but u know la.. this country name is called "Malaysia". so everything is 10X slower than others...
so, if no one go and update you record, the bad name will always be there...

Like I pointed out earlier, most people wouldn't utilise up to RM2500 worth of petrol p/month so RM50 max rebate is definitely more than enough.

@TeraPox,
I believe our credit ratings records are updated v frequently. I also believe they're kept updated.

If it's something enforced by law, I'm sure they will make it a point to do it In any case, it makes no difference to me since all my credit card accounts are issued by foreign banks.

I've never dealt with local banks on loans either so... oh wait a minute..... car loan was from EON Bank..... but anyhow, I no longer deal with them

U don't need to mention which bank; for those who follow ur posts they might oredi know cause U haf mentioned previously which cards U hold. And, KLCC was a rather big hint too !!

Eh wait... MBB Amex is considered local and U do haf an MBB Amex

all my CC is foregin bank.

but saving account all is local banks, except 2.

believe it or not.. altho the call center, card issuer has being out sourced to MBB...

but AMEX statements has being issued directly from AMEX APEC HQ located in Hongkong...

that's why the envelop stated that its from HK... i will scan it and post it tonight when i got home...


so AMEX is consider a "Hybrid financial institution" hahahaha

i believe local banks are good as well like major one ; maybank, cimb,public bank.....if not, temasek wont buy alliance bank anyway...

there will be a thousand reasons for tumasek to buy alliance bank....

like for example...

want to ask you all, is your CC transaction updated online very fast?
i'm using CIMB but my transaction for last week in red box until now still haven't updated online

If the merchant is using the same terminal as your card issuer, then the transaction will be posted to your online statement within a day. Otherwise, it could take at least 3 days to a week.
