sure or not can plug direct to car battery? I read somewhere that the car voltage will go up and down and it's not stable.
You might risk burning your speakers if like that blink.gif

Anyway good luck then. Do share with us if your project is a success thumbup.gif cool.gif

most inverters that you can buy nowadays would plug in to the 12v cigarette lighter in the car . if you do go with the inverter , make sure you get an inverter with a higher power rating than what the speakers need

never seen an inverter in real life before , so i have no idea about the 2 12v plug thing sweat.gif

but IMHO a 250w unit should be enough as long as you get more of a casual 2.1 setup or less . not too sure about the power requirements of 4.1 and 5.1 setups ....

ps : garage sales used to have a few sellers selling it last time . not sure about now

the input for 12v is just like 2 holes for u to plug in banana plugs for negative and positive terminal...

i'm just looking for a 2.1 unit or 2x2.1 for back and front lol...

Hey guys,

If I want to modify my car to enable my PC speakers to be installed, where can I go to ?
Can you all recommend a place for me to go.

Most shops refuse to do such modifications because they want to push for you to buy their subwoofer, amplifier system and so on which is super expensive.

Please advise and thank you all.

Just DIY - would be cheaper.

all you need is a power inverter, an audio out from your standard HU or amp, pc speaker, and of course, a place to hold it.

well , just make sure you check the input ratings of the speakers you plan to use before you buy the inverter then. dont later when buy already then you realise your inverter cant supply enough power to the speakers sweat.gif

thought of wiring it by the outer side of the seats ? can hide it beneath the floor lining , and also should have clear path right to the back
