For those successfully upgrade to 8800GTS, have you all try to install mod Forceware 177.39 + PhysX 8.06.12 before?

Let try it. If its working, then not need to wait until July before nVidia release the PhysX enable Forceware lo brows.gif .

try to study the diff... google or go wiki n have a look

QUOTE(BBXiong @ Jun 22 2008, 06:42 PM)
this is because DDR(no matter DDR2/3) runs twice the speed of the actual clock speed, that's why when the memory clock is 1000, it is actually 2000, same goes to GDDR
dunno man, other games don have wor...my fren told me it's because my card is pushing its limit, causing it to be unstable...maybe because crysis is just too GPU dependent, until it really try to push out every bit of my card, causing artifact to appear...anyway, will drop my settings to medium and see how....

Oh sorry rclxub.gif My bad.. I forgot that it's still DDR sweat.gif Don't flame me.. Noooo~ laugh.gif

No, its not cripple 88GTX, u should know 88GTX is based on G80 core. U would say cripple G92 with narrowed bus and the memory configuration is derived from that nod.gif

LOL. Check the front page please.

Eh guys? Can I downclock my 2d core speed to save electric? Wait.. will downclocking the speeds save power consumption? So that when I run 3d games only it will activate my OCed speed?

i have a memory question too:
if the card's memory is 0,8ns memory why canot overclockable to at least 2500MHz? if i know well the theoretichal speed of the 0,8ns ram is 2500mhz(1000/0,8=1250MHz and it is 2500 in DDR). does it has lower voltage than the reference or it has smaller latency and that is the cause?
i dont understand.

Oldhat: i will get home at 10:30 pm and i will post it if nobady else doesnt do it until that.

I used that before and it works flawlessly. =/ Wonder how come it doesn't work for your case.

You're supposed to save it as a file not click on it. Then remove the jpg from the file. laugh.gif

I dont know how important. i am just curious why is that. many 1ns ram overclockable to 2,1-2,2GHz and the 0,8ns just 2,3GHz?strange.
2700-2800MHz would be real i think. If the voltage is low for the ram then it is OK but if it is normal then how can i raise its Voltage? is it adjustable from bios?
but are u sure it is because of the low voltage?

not really sure it's the voltage....anyway, what's the highest u can get??
i dare not OC now cos i see artifacts in crysis even at high setting and no AA...but when i put back to mid, nothing at all, very nice and smooth...
guess it's unstable runnig crytek engine 2....

go wiki check out what's the highest clock speed supported by GDDR3

Added on June 23, 2008, 10:13 pmok, here's some reason to switch to GDDR5...
quoted from wiki GDDR5 page:
Qimonda announced volume production of 512 Mb GDDR5 modules rated at 3.6 Gb/s (900MHz), 4.0 Gb/s (1GHz), and 4.5 Gb/s (1.125GHz)

x4 the clock speed.....

I think if u get the theoretical clock also is lucky already for this card. 0.8ns should get u 2500MHz but it seems impossible because of low voltage supply and maybe the inability of this cheap card. U can see the review of new 9800GTX+ memory overclock which is very high even the chip is the same 0.8ns rated.

ya, which reminds me, and i think i should remind all of u here..
this card cost less then RM500, and some of us buy less the RM400 here...
so don really expect it go fly like GTX
