well..my suggestion here, since u soft mod and voided the warranty, it's time u abandon the original heatsink and get after market ones...Xigmatek battle axe it's quite known for it's HDT, if u wanna know which one best, suggest u to google reviews about the cooler u are interested, also, remember to read from multiple reviews instead of just one, best that u read from reputable sites

just bought today, installed the driver, and nightmare occurs....
my windows suddenly become 4-bit colour, and resolution max at 800x600... but later, i boot up with Ubuntu, it can work, with max reso and compiz fusion running... tell me now, isnt this Microsuck issue?? gonna re-format my com to try again later... of coz will try flash also, i will benchmark crysis before and after, screenies will also be posted...hehehehhe |

how to back up the bios??

also, we have the jumper at the card for easy voltage control rite?? will try that end of this month, rite now, i need to kill off my assignment...2 days no progress at all because of the card, but turns out it pay off...hahahahahahahahahahahahaha |

ppl, do note that the speed of the card now is as below:
GPU 600MHz Shader 1500 Memory 1000(which is 2000Mhz due to GDDR3) not even OC yet, edi beat my oc result....(before mod i OC a bit to make it much better...) |

for those who manage to flash it, anyone manage to overclock the card? it seems like it's giving me trouble for that one...crysis will either hang or have artifact after few second in game if i overclock...wonder if it's power problem, is it time to set the jumper??

actually, i don really trust 3D mark score...
they can just make the card optimize to run 3D mark, and of coz, will get higher score like that... the best way it's still benching with games btw, new update on games.... seriously, if u are not familiar with the detail, don say something that will mislead other...
like the others said, only GALAXY 9600GSO OC version can flash to it... other cards like GSO have only 6 mem chip, so how u gonna get it to 512MB/256bit?? |

nelienuxe_sara, i am not trying to offend u or what, just think that ur reply up there can mislead other ppl, and just trying to make sure that no one got misleaded... btw, if u wanna check if it got 8 mem chip, check at the back of the card, u can see 8 solders around the heat sink fan(u can also peek into the heat sink from the sides to see it) |

for those who failed to mod, i do think there might be some issue with the voltage jumper also...
try setting it to 1.2V, cos that's the voltage i have when i flash mine.. btw, for those who manage to flash, increasing voltage jumper to 1.3V can allow to OC to 700/1750/2000 without much problem... just testing, crysis 4xAA all high setting can get 30-40fps, but have a little artifact with the shader(well, i think it's the shader) |
