Use 3rd party cooler that's why =/

I forgotten that overvolted my card =P Cause an extra 10C temp increase. Now it's 650/1625/1000 at 70C full load. Can OC somemore. Maybe I'll stop at 75C

i have got the another galaxy 9600gso oc. it has still 6 memchip and the mod is now working but this is overclockable. 700/1800/1150 so far.

ur casing have good air flow?? cos mine is quite closed up actually, mine at the GSO OC default clock speed, and playing crysis will make me reach 90C at later levels....


just one question that i wanna ask u, ur motherboard supports PCI-E x16?? if there is such card slot, that means recent graphic card can be supported by ur card...

I added a PCI fan blower and I directed the heat out using a cardboard. Together with taking out the metal panel that usually covered if not using the slot. Bloody dumb Galaxy XD Wanna do a cooler like that use 2 slots lar straight away. LOL~

I scared to OC my memory la.. The last time I put memory at 1100 it hanged 1/2 way when running 3dmark. Huhuhu~

that means not enuf voltage to go higher...last time i also like that after mod but didnt set jumper to 1.3V...
btw, u mind posting screenies on what u do to ur card....i really need to kill off a few degree so that it remain lower then 80, or stay away from 90 at least...

The problem is that time I set to 1.3V already =/ Aiii.. So envy those who managed to get to softmod. My 3dmark score now still stuck at 10.7k. LOL Not yet try to OC higher.

cos b4 mod i can reach 1100 very easily..
i tried 1150 is ok, only 1200 problem coming...
but well i haven add voltage yet... since its a 0.8ns chips... i think it shd can go higher than 1000~

u can always try to increase the voltage manually, but too bad i dunno how to do it, u gotta ask those dudes at overclocking forum

that's what i do to my heat sink now...plus, i decrease my voltage, so now crysis even at later stages also won reach 80C...great success....

try to clock others that have more room for u to clock...as u can see from the meter, memory is almost to the limit....
try shader and GPU, they also have big roles in gaming...

I cant go 1100 mem for single modded card Nvmind, its not very important for the bandwidth.

ya...i kinda sacrifice memory clock speed for higher CPU and shader...btw, dunno why when i play crysis, i use default clock speed, or underclock a bit also still got minor artifacts at some pipes or part of the far away floor like that...
before this i mention the far away ground will blink very fast with/without shadow like that, but that one only appear when i turn on AA

My crysis so far the only thing i noticed is your allies like Psycho their hands sometimes blink or blur very badly...but then again I played around with the settings to get this game to play DX9 with Very High settings so that might contribute.

I don't understand is the memory clock is 1000/1100/1200.. Why some of you put 2000? If it's GDDR3 shouldn't it be times 3 instead of times 2? Or the memory clock is really 2000?

Eh.. Why everyone I ask you guys I try flashing original my bios it became 62.92.43.00.00 bios... I'm looking for 62.92.43.00.01 bios. Anyone can provide me with the 62.92.43.00.01 bios that would be a great help =) Cos now my fan is always at 100% even if I manual control. I think it's BIOS related.

this is because DDR(no matter DDR2/3) runs twice the speed of the actual clock speed, that's why when the memory clock is 1000, it is actually 2000, same goes to GDDR

dunno man, other games don have wor...my fren told me it's because my card is pushing its limit, causing it to be unstable...maybe because crysis is just too GPU dependent, until it really try to push out every bit of my card, causing artifact to appear...anyway, will drop my settings to medium and see how....
