if the iphone is not officially unlocked and we unlock it using all sorts of ways.. will there be a difference between an official & unofficial unlock iphone? what i mean is perhaps unofficial unlocked iphones dont have better signals etc.. and also we can't upgrade to a newer firmware aft we unlock it right? otherwise it be be locked again?

apparently biteSMS charges 10cent for each SMS sent?

You only need credit if you want to send sms via their network. Otherwise you can choose sending from carrier in setting.

Have you register yourself an itunes store account? if you did is it on the same pc/notebook ure using or its on another pc/notebook? if its on the other pc/notebook then you need to re authorized your account on the pc/notebook for you to use the applications you downloaded. Verification is for the authorization of the itunes not due to the iphone. to check on the authorization, on your itunes > store> authorize.

with regards to 3rd party application as you mentioned connected to piracy, in my opinion Apple has released Software Development Kit (SDK) which able programmers/software company to play around with it to produce applications for iphone and ipods. The biggest reason behind the release is for Apple to boast its sales by looking into all the 3rd party application produced, puchased it and develop it into itunes. For your information a few applications which were 3rd party application before is now can be found and purchase via itunes store. I wont say 3rd party applications installed via cydia is piracy issues yet i strongly believed its one of the way Apple "tutup sebelah mata" in order to boast their sales on iphone & ipod. Do remember companies do things to boast their sales and Apple does it via SDK.

Do understand what does it mean by Piracy and have a good read on THIS which posted by one of the good forumer Mr SeaEdge not long ago

So from my knowledge and yet limited...

the application must download thru apple itunes first..
after that install the application using sync.
It can be done easily. but if "the application is not verified"
It can be only found on crack application.
Where crackers crack the price tag to $0.00 and many method.

BTW thru cydia..
it all 3rd parties application.
and hack repo can be added easily.
the application can be download from wifi or 3g.
And i know the policy of SDK...

Hmmm interesting..maybe i read it wrongly. If thats the case i could be wrong interpreting his questions. Or maybe he just did not authorized his itunes to get the free apps. Yes i do agree with you on if he wants to crack the paid application via iTunes store then that is piracy

can i send my 1.1.4 iphone to apple retailers like Machines or the one @ pavilion and hire them to upgrade to 2.1 because im afraid to do it myself...??
