so will the new firmware will allow us to do file transfer using bluetooth??

are you referring to 1.1.4 or 2.0?

no one can be certain as it is well known fact that one can hack via bluetooth.

as far i was concern, 1.1.4 does not support file transferring.... how about the 2.0 that will release soon?

i do realise this; if you lets say you have entered the details into the network settings (unet, maxis, wap or etc), you need to switch to airplane mode for approximately 5secs and then turn it back on before you can log on.

anyone sharing the same here?

from my own personal experience, there are a few reasons why "Main script execution failed" or download fails will pop up.

1. your wifi /gprs/edge connection isnt working (try surfing the net on safari first before attempting again. if not reset your router etc)
2. the app provider's server is genuinely down (i do realise that they are particular slow during the day in the states. try again later or countercheck with someone's iphone)
3. clear the queue from the installer list (may require at least twice sometimes)
4. turn off your iphone and while for a few seconds before turning back on again.

fyi. its obvious that if your fingers are covering the black piece (right below the capacity engraving), both your radio and wifi signal strengths will be significantly reduced. try googling for real life experiment results done by really lifeless people if you are still not convinced...

I agree that spoon feeding is not a good thing. But I do think that it doesnt hurt to have some common courtesy, like "its here [insert link or something], and btw, please read the first page if you need anything else" instead of "go bl00dy read the first page you f*king n00b!! Pwned!!". As you grow older, these things will catch up on you. you'll notice you wont have that much time to go through 40 pager thread to look for something small, unlike those college/uni kids / slackers.
*
but unfortunately, if you dont have that much time to go through 40 pager thread, then you are better off paying an expert to rectify your problems. you cant expect to have a win-win situation (being lazy and a cheapskate and yet expect to be spoon fed) right?

economics' principle number 1; people face trade-offs and hence there is no such thing as a free lunch in the world.

pardon my derogatory labellings, but majority (not all) of the noobs will always be noobs; they expect everything to be served nicely on the table for them.

you dont have to agree with me because if you are dissatisfied with my remarks, you can do the best next thing; continue to ask a noob questions and get a high octane flaming in return.

Added on June 17, 2008, 6:27 pmdislaimer: the term "you" isnt in reference to vassalle. i am just using your comment as a supporting claim. however if i do offend you, i humbly apologise. thank you

omg i'm biring the /b/ stuff in here...should keep it as it is...
anyway...seriously...its the first time ever someone actually ask me this question since i put it in my sig like er....8 months ago?
how do we gauge? we first have to assess how much do u know from a cow...body parts, natural habitat(s), food they eat..u'll be surprised some cows are carnivorous....haha...no la...joking only....
i juz put it there for fun la...coz i'm born in the year of ox and the picture of that cow is cute....so i tot i should appreciate cows more since they provide us with meat and milk....its quite a sacrifice eh...

what a great OT....sorry
*

i got a question...if my friend help me sign the contract and bring me back an iphone whats it gonna be for my friend? As in she's bounded by the contract? But she won't be using the iphone at all..So what is gonna happen?

And..i would have to unlock the phone is it?
*
yes, she has to pay the monthly subscription fees or risk damaging her credit rating permanently. nothing much will happen if she has no intention to study/work there. the only thing drawback is you risk being a cheapskate (or a wank) by going against the agreement (not paying and yet still keep the phone) and of course a mountain of legal letters. thats all. but its all good if she decides to keep the line and pass you the iphone.

yes, you would still need to unlock the phone (unless its the prepaid version)

And he is there studying and he can use the line no problem..
He uses the line and i keep the phone will be alright i suppose?
So how do i get the prepaid version?
*
yes, there is a prepaid version but i cant vouch for the states. other European countries, yes. they will sell them both in the apple stores or their officially appointed network providers (or even electrical good stores, however for this i have yet to confirm).

if your mate is gonna do that, then i can safely say that, you have got yourself a sweet deal there! congratulations! rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif
