a) People always using wrong description about unlock or jailbreak ...

Can someone explain more ..

Answers:

1) Unlock - to enable the phone to use other that the intended telco.
2) Jailbreak - to open/hack the system so users can modify or access the filesystem.

b) Does it means that buying unlock or locked iphone does not mean much different ?

Answers:

Locked - Tied to the telco carrier
Unlocked - Can use with any telco carrier
Jailbreak - Can install FREE 3rd party application thru installer or cydia ..

c) So, even we buy a locked version of iphone, after we jailbreak using pwnage / quickpwn /winpwn /etc we still able to any telco carrier + install 3rd party application?

Answers:

No. You'll will not have phone functionality unless you use some hack sim hardwares but 3rd party sofwares will work.

d) Why we need to buy unlocked iphone ? ( since we can use jailbreak to the locked phone using any telco carrier )

Answers:

1) We don't need to unlock a 3G iPhone using softwares. Is permanently unlock. Unlike 2G iphone which we need to wait for Pwnagetool, Winpwn, Quickpwn to provide an unlock/JB solution when we need to update to the latest/current frimware that Apple releases.
2) Jailreak/Unlock will not unlock a LOCKED 3G iPhone.

e) Pwnage tools cannot unlock the 3G baseband yet - ( what does it means ? Cannot use other telco 3G ? )

Answers:

1) Baseband is a subsystem on the phone that handles phone line communication. Modifying this subsystem is how unlocks are achieved.
2) Pwangetool has no solution to unlock a 3G iphone via software as of yet.
