I use cCam. But kinda weird when u must click "option" to snap a photo rather than pressing the shuttle key and it automatic focus then snap the photo. But its a great software. Can curi-curi take photos..Hehehe brows.gif

With regards to the Original and AP sets, the terminology "original" is wrongly used here. Theoretically one should be saying authorised sets instead of original. I don't understand why people call these original instead of authorised.
*
This is due to the translator problem from Cantonese to English. tongue.gif .
BTW, how to say authorised set in Cantonese?

Well that I don't know, as I usually tell the sellers "I want Zitron/Avaxx or whatsoever" for authorised sets.

Hmmm.. I'm not sure about that problem, it only happens when people video call you.. Do you set the ringtones different for both voice and video calls to distinguish voice and video calls?

The difference between AP and the so called 'ORIGINAL' (Avaxx/Zitron) are the services and warranty only.
Eg;
1. AP warranty might only cover the charger for 3 months whilst Zitron/Avaxx MIGHT extend them for a year or so. (6 months as claimed by a forumer)
2. U MAY be able to get 1-1 replacement NO-QUESTIONS-ASKED if u are covered by Zitron/Avaxx but if covered by an AP warranty, u might have to go through world war 3 with the shops just to get a replacement LCD for free.
3. AP warranty, only covered by shops or branches of the shop u bought ur device ftom whilst Zitron/Avaxx get worldwide recognition.

QUOTE(little ice @ Jul 30 2008, 03:51 PM)
AP or not, you can still bring back to the service center - except AP has to pay, same goes to authorized unit, also have to pay if warranty expired.

haha, tis is wat i talked wit my bf last 2 days.
somehow tis is quite confusing,

so authorzised set will reli get worldwide recognition w/o paying srv charge if still under warranty?

AP set will nid to pay if go to auth svc center regardless da warranty rite?

Update on Nokia Maps. GUI is nice but navigation sux. It tells you to turn where it's not possible even when there is a divider on the road. So if you turn, you'll slam into the divider.

yup, i agree. cause i am also encounter this problem before.

one question for all of you, have any one using both the nokia map n garmin to navigate? cause i am using both to navigate but the result is garmin is better than nokia map.

this is because using garmin can get signal within few second, but the nokia map take about few minutes n some time even worst(no signal at all at my housing area, i mean at outside the house).

does any one encounter problem like the map didn't show any road on nokia map? before that no such problem, but this few day when i am trying to use nokia map to navigate however the map didn't showing any road(empty) at my housing area(puchong utama). but if i am using garmin, no such problem at all. every thing is fine, the road show clearance on the map.

so what cause this problem, is it the nokia phone it self(internal gps) or the nokia map(software or map) got problem? or other causes like the gps system problem at my housing area? or virus eating some part of the map....hehe just joking only.

any comment?

I have both Nokia Maps 2.0 and GMXT. I use both to lock satellites together, but don't navigate both concurrently.

Locking satellite signal is subjective for both NM2.0 & GMXT, sometimes within <5 sec lock, sometimes takes 2-3 minutes. Sometimes won't lock and I need to close app and run again.

Nokia Maps 2.0 and GMXT is the GPS software application engine only. It needs to depends on the map, which is also called Nokia Maps for Nokia sweat.gif and option to use other maps like malsingmap/mapking for GMXT.

Nokia Maps map files are just around 15MB for Malaysia, while malsingmap for Peninsular Malaysia + SG alone is 28MB (if include Borneo is 35MB?) So you can imagine how much maps are missing from Nokia Maps map for M'sia. rclxub.gif
