No, you didn't mention mobility at all, so I don't think the EEE PC is something for you. Get a cheap laptop - it's much more comfortable to use.Added on May 18, 2008, 8:53 amI'm currently using my EEE to do casual ebook reading on-the-go. Still haven't setup PPP on it so I can't use 3G yet.. but it should be soon |

One of the problems with the EEE keyboard is its lack of dedicted PgUp/Down keys. They are overloaded into the Up/Down keys where you need to press it in conjunction with Fn.
This makes it impossible to scroll in most apps using only one hand!! An exception is Adobe Reader, where you can use rightShift + Up/Down. |

OK, if you think so
I suggest that you at least get a USB keyboard+mouse to use when you're docked at a desk. Using the EEE sure gets me funny looks on the streets. A fair number of people have come up to ask me about it. Finally got 3G hooked up through my Nokia today, and it's starting to fulfill my expectations |

QUOTE(Balok @ May 19 2008, 11:02 AM) anyone tried OS X on eee pc? I saw the haxs tho... Pretty nice. But what I heard it was damn lagging for the OS to run. interested on EEE PC 900 for OS X anyway is there any URL teach how to mod it? BTW what's the difference on 900 and 901? EEE 900 Same specs like the old EEE 701 but with larger screen which support 1024x600 screen rezo. And a trackpad which utilizes multitouch technology... More or so like Apple multitouch. EEE 901 New design. No ASUS logo at the laptop, replaced with EEE Bluetooth New Intel Atom processor Seems... Bulkier.... |

instaling osx tiger either on 4gb ssd on the eee701 or on the 4gb ssd not the 16gb ssd of the eee900 is not exactly rocket science...but in order for wifi to work you need to install the dell 1391 builtin..and do..the vga thingy..osx runs very well under 630mhz not full 900mhz speed...and only tiger, not leopard is supported by the celeron cpu which supports only up to SSE2...but I can't wait ti try leopard on the eee901 atom...
