from my review at rebels haven forum..ta770 can support 9850 ..oc bout 3.2ghz without any problem. but the mosfet chipset need to sinking with heatsink ...maybe can use the ram heatsink

When even I give it load only 30 sec on orthos it jumps like mad, and it hangs at 124C

TMPIN0 is n/b temp
TMPIN1 is mobo temp
TMPIN2 is CPU temp


did ur temp like tis b4 u change with new HSF ??

i think is ur mobo issue ...temp core#0 and core#1 oso didnt read right temp

I think your Asus BIOS revision got bug?Try touch your HSF.Maybe Detection error.

try see other hardware monitor like everest...speedfan check the sensor ID see correct or not

OK.. an update.. left my 9850BE comp running at 3ghz for days and no hang. Played Crysis no problem. Even Encode movies no problem at all. The only problem is opening 3Dmarks06 opens at splash and disappears or if it can open, i ran benchmark, half way shuts.. I will be trying to change my 12cm fan to a faster and more efficient one but have no idea on which brand to get. Looking for maybe 2800 - 3000 RPM.

How you be so sure about that? If I can't trust any of those than what should I use?

I always touch the HSF since I don't use any sidepanels, its just slightly warm

then check ur device manager ---> system device --->see got ACPI fan , ACPI Fixed Feature Buttton and ACPI Themal Zone
and at bios did u enable ACPI device or not

yup...download and install the phenom patch installer....
then for the fan try look for something from delta, sunon, nidec or any other good reputation brand....or if got money..go for silverstone..
