I got 2 Hard disk . So when booting detected AMD Phenom 9750 Quad-Core Processor but cannot boot to windows. (XP and Vista). try to delete Amd Dual Core Optimizer software at safe mode.Message : AMD Data Change - update New Data to DMI Then straight to Window Error Recovery and ask to select option such as boot in safe mode kind of thing. No matter what option i select the system will reboot and repeat the whole process. What is happening. Any one can help....Is it something to do with the mobo bios? QUOTE(X.E.D @ Apr 29 2008, 08:05 PM) No, not mine. I'm on a lowly X2 that can't even get over 250HTT. nforce mobo huh...quite afraid of their data corruption thinggy.. >.<This is on Asus's Crosshair 2 Formula mobo, nForce 780a. The nForces seem better than the 790FX now, for OC that is. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=185909 DFI's M2RS 4 (+1?) phase power might be the cause of the Phenom 8750 not reaching 3Ghz steady though. Now that the 9850's only RM7XX, I'm not too sure about the 8750 again. 9850 means OCing high with cheap RAM, something that gets forgotten when you step into keywords like E8400 and 4Ghz. QUOTE(casperito @ Apr 30 2008, 02:01 AM) oh , so it is safe to buy 780a mobo ah..hehe.QUOTE(Lacus @ Apr 30 2008, 02:14 AM) hmm, 9750 is the 125w processor also right? Too bad, it might not work properly in either 770a or 780 chipset due to some power thing. I read this up somewhere..forgot where already..thats y they recommand 790 for phenom proc. nope, the power problem thing is due to motherboard design itself, it has nothing to do with 780g / 770 chipset.so far i know, only sapphire 780g mobo can fully support phenom 9850. and...most of 790 mobo is phenom friendly This post has been edited by pikacu: Apr 30 2008, 02:46 AM |

guys,i got something to ask about ram DDr2 vs overclock..
let say im using value ram 667mhz. basically, during OC, we need to make sure that the ram speed will not go higher than 667mhz, since we are OC-ing processor, not ram, no? so.....there is no need for extra voltage at ram right? since the ram clock speed is not higher than its original value.. |

QUOTE(Lacus @ May 5 2008, 12:30 AM) QUOTE(mizivincible @ May 5 2008, 12:30 AM) U would want to lower the RAM speed since you dont want it to bottleneck the proc. Basically if you plan to see how far your proc can go, for 667 you just lower it to 400, the speed will be slightly higher from 667 after you oc to 3.0ghz. umm...that not the point.my point is...the voltage ram aka vdimm , there is no need to increase it, since it wont go beyond 667 mhz, right? |

QUOTE(Najmods @ May 7 2008, 10:43 PM) Very weird, my 335x9 wasn't stable when playing games even if its stable at Super PI 32M humm, try orthos blend for 1 hour, if succeed, then ok already.as for me, i'll try orthos for 1 hour first (after overclock), before i play games. i also experience crash while playing games (xxxx.exe has stop working..) due to unstable overclock. QUOTE(colabear98 @ May 8 2008, 11:02 PM) OK.. an update.. left my 9850BE comp running at 3ghz for days and no hang. Played Crysis no problem. Even Encode movies no problem at all. The only problem is opening 3Dmarks06 opens at splash and disappears or if it can open, i ran benchmark, half way shuts.. I will be trying to change my 12cm fan to a faster and more efficient one but have no idea on which brand to get. Looking for maybe 2800 - 3000 RPM. do you install the hotfix? |
