GUY!!!! I wanna cryyyyyyyyyyy......

Don't worry, my suggies are all fine. Just that the ones at PS are NOT!!! Damn it! 2 super duper underage, smaller than Ringo are dying. They shiver so badly, are constantly wet from the soggy wet apples. The poor things can't even chew and are just licking moisture. They are thin, weak and so shaky.
Another tank has like 10 or more joeys, just slightly older. All they have are tissue paper to hide and sleep in and soggy wet apples. I actually stood at the counter, saying slightly louder to Juztiny that "They are gonna die" but the workers just ignore. Stupid.....

Hai.. going to miss Judy for a week as I'm sending her off to boarding later. Have to fly back to East Malaysia tomorrow. Just don't feel good sending her off for boarding. sad.gif
*
Wah, where you send for boarding? Hopefully not a vet or pet shop that has no knowledge on gliders...

QUOTE(krynzpeaches @ Jun 13 2008, 02:20 PM)
Food bowl middle ground to lower ground is okay depending on the height of your cage.

I put mine on the middle ground as my cage is too tall and the lower ground is too low.

Most of the time suggies like to eat up high. They'll grab a piece and got up somewhere to eat or hang upside down wink.gif

I was reading, gliders don't enjoy eating on the floor of the cage. The rather eat high up coz it is instinctive and they would feel safer and have better appetites. But Kimba is like cacat. He would take whatever fruit I give him and throw it to the cage floor to eat.

QUOTE(kelvin_faye @ Jun 13 2008, 05:00 PM)
Congrats Eka, u are now one step closer to your SGs... hehe wub.gif

So, what else u bought from petshack?? I wanna budget la... Can give me a rough idea?? Thanks ya... blush.gif
*
Budget? I would leave aside Rm700... you roughly count, cage already RM290 if big cage, then bowls RM8.80, bottle also Rm8.80, pouches and cage stuff, I forgot the price but around Rm100 like that or less.... depending on how many bonding pouch you buy. Normally I would advice on 2. Toys, bedding (if you use) plus food.... another RM50 loh.... then what more? Well, up to you.

QUOTE(onezkatana @ Jun 13 2008, 05:43 PM)
has anybody know where to get Sugar apple and custard apple/buah nona in area ampang n nearby..i want to try to give to my SG....everybody said SG like buah nona very much....thx.i never see b4 in KL
*
I beli kat Cold Storage. Rm3+ for 3.... sometimes less than Rm3 coz depends on weight. You can find kat wet market I think.

Really pity those innocent joeys. You go check on PS quite often? Don't worry I did not leave Judy at any vet or pet shop. I left Judy with a friend who is also keeping a glider staying nearby my place. Wanted to send to you but then everything last minute just got a phone call from back home today, got to go back tomorrow. So was in a very very rushed state today. Transportation also another problem for me here in Cyberjaya. Cannot take the cage onto the bus lagi..

I don't think they will take any action though.. At the end of the day, it all narrows down to the staff as well whether they are doing their job or not. As it is now they are doing business in an unethical manner. Just think about profit but not on the welfare of the suffering joeys. Not to mention impulse buyers as well. As Hun mentioned before, some joeys die in the hands of their new owners, sometimes in less than a day. When comes to thinking of this, I get really mad as the creatures have the right to live and be with their mothers until they are at a suitable age to be on their own. It works out the same for us humans as well.

Tomorrow I will setup my tent and try to feed my glider outside the cage for the first time. I've always like those cute pict you post where your glider eat on top of our human desk. I've never done that before, will try tomorrow - either on desk or tent. Hopefully they wont run away.

Will post up some pict then.

Cool down, no need to get so heated up. Ada apa can talk properly and politely. No wars. Peace! I have to add something on as well. It's not that people are lazy or whatsoever. You've got to think about transportation issues. Some people live far away and transportation is a problem to get to the place they need to go. Not everyone has cars to drive around here, especially students, they have a budget to live on. No offense.

QUOTE(kelvin_faye @ Jun 13 2008, 06:46 PM)

@aurion : yea la.. we r students le.. not everyone has a car k.. the last time i asked my friend to bring me to Petshack, i rode a bike to UKM KTM komuter.. from there to KL Sentral, then change to Subang Jaya... then walk to the bus stop opposite Subang Parade... wait for my friend... I start going out from my place at 2pm.. Wait for my friend at 5pm... 3 hours le.. But i wanna have things for my gerbils!!

Really hoping to go no matter what happens then... So am i just all talk??

*
Do i really have to post this???

So many others are students here.. if you guys were to jump into having pets as hobbies, make sure all these issues have been solved.. transportation, money or what ever bla bla bla is just ridiculous to be as excuses..

other students here never complained.. they're clever to manage these matters.. try to be brilliant guys.. if you're talking about Pet Shack, no need transportation: www.petshack.com.my

Do i need to say more?

QUOTE(kelvin_faye @ Jun 13 2008, 06:46 PM)

Alright then, whatever you say. I do not wish to carry on with this small matter. Let's just leave it as it is as it is too insignificant and inappropriate to start an argument here and also for the sake of others. No offense, but I do come in peace here. icon_rolleyes.gif . Anyway nice getting to know you.

first glider bought from a fren mid 2006.. it's a WC adult glider but tamed.. early 2007 bought another 3 WC adults at KL Sentral.. then another 3 at end of 2007 from serdang pet shop.. the last one is from internet early 2008...

one glider was stolen on October 2007.. left with me till today are 7 nasty gliders.. not planning to add more.. 7 is already a hell lot of work each night..

first time to buy a joey is on November 2007, that's when i joined LYN to ask for help coz the joey went sick.. turns out it was kept in bad condition and got sick from bird's virus or something which we can't really see at first.. only vets would know.. the joey is kept by my gf somebody named 'ninang'...

Added on June 14, 2008, 3:14 amEDIT: now it's mid 2008, so it's ngam-ngam 2 years with gliders... how bout you?

Heya everyone, been real busy so haven't been able to visit much. I owe KJ an update and pictures. These are not recent pictures but they're still pics. The little boy is quite calm and curious. He's not a crabby pot so handling is a breeze. Just handled him a bit, hands a bit itchy from the sharp nails. I put him in my shirt and surprisingly he didn't crab, he just climbed to the top to my collar and peeped out. Once in awhile calm collected joeys like these pop out, real sweethearts. smile.gif

He'll be ready for collection in bout 7 to 10 days or so.
