I'm in Pet Safari yesterday..apparently when i arrived, they just bring out the new stock of underage joeys..i think around 5-6 joeys..this time its really really small..poor joeys...

Awww.... that's cute. You should install a camera to catch them doing that. Would be super amazing.

WWF can't do much.... this is more like SPCA kinda job but the SPCA in Malaysia got no power to do anything also. Our wildlife law sucks.

Mounting board? That is gonna soak up pee. Celotape could cause harm coz it is sticky and if they chew it, dunno what the glue would do to them.

Sad to say that the staff there are pretty unexperienced as well. I bought Judy (as seen in the picture below) from a breeder, she was 2 months old. I got her for slightly more than a week now. When I took her to P.S. the staff asked her age I told him that the glider was 2months old. He replied me saying that Judy doesn't look like a 2-month old glider. Looks more lika a 4-month old glider.

hehe.. now pet safari is displaying the joeys in 2 aquariums..

1 aquarium is on the the counter, displaying underage joeys but kinda better condition than ones seen before..

but the other aquarium displaying damn wet, shaking & tiny little joeys in cold shivering together...

each aquarium got 3 joeys...

WHAT now they got WET joeys? omg.. baru sampai nampaknyer..

crazymouse, I've bought your mixed fruit slurp from Joan few days ago. Judy seems to like it but will spit out some kind of fibrous stuff. By the way, how do I tell if the slurp has gone bad? Excuse me if this is a stupid question.

wet joeys are displayed most of the time there.. and the ones wet there is not baru sampai punya.. it's been there quite a while..

Wet and shaking underaged joeys?! In air conditioned area, I think they want the gliders to catch a cold. No sense at all.. It's really inhumane!

They can be very naughty at times. Mine I put on my bed, when I want to catch her back and put into the cage, she will try to act like a scorpion, tail put up and point it slightli forwards with all 4 legs wide open.. She'll usually jump a bit to the left and to the right and jumping in small steps giving me the impression that she's trying to say "you cannot catch me". She's alright when you catch her and put her back into the cage.

Alot of the staff do not know the correct age of gliders because the supplier and their boss give them wrong info. Pity those joeys. We think the joeys at PS are roughly 4 weeks old or less.

Yer.... kesian... then we cannot do anything about it.

The fibrous stuff is the pulp. Don't worry, it is natural. As my food is homemade, the pulp is natural. Some gliders would eat everything, some would spit out the pieces that are dry. Glad your Judy likes it. Now there is GliderFRUITSICLES at Pet Shack.

Yes, it would taste sour. Smell... not so... you gotta taste it. If it has gone very bad it would smell like sour milk. Why? You didn't keep it in the freezer?

Barking means calling lah. It is normal if they stop when you go to them.
Please feed other type of fruits. Is not because of bored.... if you feed only apples, takda nutrition yang lain, which can lead to malnutrition later. Feed at least 3 types of fruits and veggies a day.

Bonded means they won't bite, won't struggle if you catch them, won't jump away if you hold them and not afraid of your touch.
