just 3g function? any others upgrade beside the current model?

i think i'll just stick with current phone, no $$$ to be spend -.- zzZZzz

nope.. can confirm its not this design..
most likely its the other one with the curved back and in glossy black..
i think the added size could be due to the bigger battery needed to at least match the current battery life of 1st gen

ya, just 3G no need to upgrade. Unless got some major improvement.

not to big difference with the current for the pic...
but the pic looks like officially one...

We've had rumors, rumors, and more rumors, but now "someone very, very close to the 3G iPhone launch" has confirmed the 3G iPhone will be released June 9th at the WWDC Keynote.

International users will have the phone within a few weeks of the US launch - not the previously rumored end of '08. Also notable, the iPhone will (at least in some countries) NOT be selling at a fixed price anymore, which means end users can get discounts based on signing contracts, adding data plans, etc. This is a good thing for those of you signing up with the Apple-sponsored carrier, but not so good news for us rebels (gotta have my T-Mo ). No word on how the Apple stores will be handling the fixed price vs subsidization pricing, but perhaps they'll have a set price, and AT&T will offer some sort of rebate with proof of activation. That is IF Apple carries the non-standard pricing to the States.

Those of wanting to jailbreak/unlock the 3G iPhone need not worry - it looks like the launch of it will coincide with the 2.0 firmware, which hints it will be running said firmware. And 2.0 is already jailbroken/unlocked. A 3G modem may necessitate a fix on the unlock to work, but shouldn't be a major hurdle. Mod on, good people.

we already know that some pictures are fake (the most popular one is the black iPhone on the laptop), but some pictures dubbed as leaked images by case manufacturer maybe still hold as credible (yeah until the real iPhone is unveiled, hahaha...). and yeah that's the case mold, so at least maybe we can get the idea on its dimension of the phone (if it's true), that's as far as we can know with that rumor. not the actual unit.

and what's interesting though bout that article is, mmm....just read this comment to that post, u'll get the idea,


so cut the story short, yep carriers have iPhone 2 but not necessarily all the rumors surrounding this iPhone 3G are fake. unless the carriers themselves have the actual full unit.

btw maybe now is time to just wait for the actual product, it's just around the corner. nyum nyum...

It is definitely around the corner, but remains one of the mobile world best kept secrets..... getting everybody excited. If it is good I may upgrade as I'm on ***com for mymain line and I need 3G for internet connectivity esp at home.
