QUOTE(uniquexme @ Jun 24 2008, 04:32 PM) can we jailbreak and activate w/o using SSH? was thinking of using iphone browser coz i dun have wifi access. so if we use cable method-iphone browser, do we need to install openSSH? if you use +iliberty or winpwn, there is actually a list where you can preselect the apps that you wanna install on your JB iphone beforehand.so the use of wifi is definitely not necessary here. Added on June 24, 2008, 4:41 pm QUOTE(liquid_ooze @ Jun 24 2008, 04:37 PM) ha ha. for being so humble. i will just give the short story. ziphone has tendency to corrupt your wifi (though its claimed that it has been fixed).i know it is very tempting to have that "do it all" icon but sometimes the easiest way isnt the best solution. hmm, maybe we should make a sticky thread on these jailbreak, activate, unlock so that all ppl who need to know can refer. just my thinking. coz on RC forum, they have this sticky thread that allow easy reference.

No wonder my wifi connection seems very slow, downloading youtube videos takes ages Time to restore & re-JB (using iLiberty) |

You cant get an iPhone out without activating.
Its not so easy to get an iPhone 3G as expected. Lets see if we could really have a chance to purchase one and bring it back iPhone's price are up again? LOL |

QUOTE(liquid_ooze @ Jun 24 2008, 04:53 PM) OK, i'm here to confirm that the slow wifi issue in my iphone caused by ziphone has been fixed by doing a restore and re-JB by iLiberty Thus, i guess it's safe to say that the damage done by ziphone is not permanent Hope that clears everyone's doubt. |

couple of questions here guys, pls bear with me (dun bomb me pls)
Step 1) unlock with WinPwn - i have read tutorial on iclarified and it does these - activate phone : what does activate does? - enable baseband update - neuter bootloader : what is this bootloader for? - unlock baseband : meaning we can use with sim card other than AT&T? Step 2) jailbreak - iclarified showing on ZiPhone. i know u guys saying some problem with wifi issues. do i have have to perform this step? or its all covered in WinPwn? since got problem with Ziphone, then what other can i use? sorry guys, i m lost, and would like to make sure b4 i proceed to do it. is there any thing that i missed out? on the iphone > setting > general > reset, what does this do? actually last nite, i use iphonebrowser to manually delete the songs in my iphone, under itune control > library > F00, F01,.... i deleted these folders, no doubt they are deleted, but then i can't add new songs with itunes anymore. tats y i need to reformat my iphone This post has been edited by uniquexme: Jun 25 2008, 10:02 AM |
