i apologise if i appear to be arrogant for my next following statement; but im definitely right about this one; there is no difference if you use your genuine ipod or iphone usb cable to charge/sync.
try +iliberty or pwn. avoid ziphone. forget about ibricker; thats one sudah ketinggalan zaman

Added on June 24, 2008, 2:56 pmdisclaimer: however there is a huge difference if you use a non-authorised ipod dock/speakers/charger to charge your iphone. i can only vouch for the genuine provided usb cables.

hi there, new iphone user here.

may i know why ziphone should be avoided? any issue that will raise once we activate/jailbreak/unlock using ziphone?

if you use +iliberty or winpwn, there is actually a list where you can preselect the apps that you wanna install on your JB iphone beforehand.

so the use of wifi is definitely not necessary here.

Added on June 24, 2008, 4:41 pm
ha ha. for being so humble. i will just give the short story. ziphone has tendency to corrupt your wifi (though its claimed that it has been fixed).
i know it is very tempting to have that "do it all" icon but sometimes the easiest way isnt the best solution.
*
Thanks a lot for the info bro, appreciate it nod.gif

No wonder my wifi connection seems very slow, downloading youtube videos takes ages sweat.gif

Time to restore & re-JB (using iLiberty) icon_rolleyes.gif

OK, i'm here to confirm that the slow wifi issue in my iphone caused by ziphone has been fixed by doing a restore and re-JB by iLiberty thumbup.gif

Thus, i guess it's safe to say that the damage done by ziphone is not permanent nod.gif

Hope that clears everyone's doubt.

hmm, filebrowser, interesesting. thanks. oh yah, i wonder y mac files have this set permission, is it something like password? and for iphone normally use 755 or 777 rite? (cant' remember exact)
*
It's not a password actually, instead, it's a file permission security to restrict read/write access to files/folders

e.g:

755 - Only owner can READ, EXECUTE and WRITE
777 - Everybody can READ, EXECUTE and WRITE

And about the lag and apps from appstore crashing to springboard.

Hi bro frozzbyte, so far no lags yet.. touch wood.

Applications seem speedier, especially in terms of animation. (when an app launches, exits)
