now i need some app which is very useful, which makes my iPhone a tool.

what re the other recommended apps?

As for your question, why are you asking others about what is useful to you? I can say Foreflight is a tool for me to prep for work, but would it even be of any use to you?

If this question is a precursor for you to mass-download pirated apps, then the motive of this question is clear. You just want to horde as many apps you can get your hands on and brush it off when it comes to reimbursing the devs that had just gave you such a good time and you don't even contribute to them.

i visited appstore, but how do i purchase the games? I do not have account for Apple Store and a valid US address.....hmm...

Those games u guys mention looks tempting...let say..if a newer version of iPhone release again will these games all wipe out?

Newer versions of a game is downloadable via App Update. Apple keeps track of what you have bought and issue free updates that improves the game. For example, Scrabble used to crash a lot on it's initial version but no more after new updates issued via AppStore.

If you have accidentally deleted an app/game, you can redownload it free of charge provided you are signed into iTunes.

You can use iTunes Malaysia to buy apps/games. For US iTunes, get a free song code download, and purchase iTunes gift card codes via www.ituneshop.net.

I have just updated my FW to 2.0.1. All my numbers are in +6 format. But now all names are not shown. Only numbers with brackets are shown instead, anyone know how to make names appear again? The problems are opposite if I use bracket format.

I have tried the Appsupport patch in this forum but it made no difference.

Simply say that, either
when I use (017) format, I can see caller ID but not sender's names for sms received.

OR

when I use +6 format, I can see names for sms received but not caller ID for call in.

Anyone can solve this? Thank you.

Have both numbers in? Both with and without +6?

Two entries(one with (017) and another +6017) for one contact should solve it. I am trying now. But it is a tedious method anyway.

Another weird thing, the 24 Hour Time was off in setting.
In homescreen, it works at XX:XX PM. But in Slide to Unlock Screen, it still in 24 hour format.....

Is it me or....? Anyone else spot the same thing?

And the whole other scenario is pre-empted with an "IF", so IF you didnt pirate those, then more power to you, and thank you again for supporting the Appstore and its many budding developers.

As for the tools, only YOU can answer that. I dont know what is useful to you, and what's useful to me may not be useful to you. Example I given was with the app Foreflight. Plus, every app inside the Appstore has that column on the right describing what the app does, and you also have user review at the bottom to further specify if the app is useful or not. These are normal users like you and me, so what more do you want?

DobotTodos - Free. To do list.

Aurora Feint -Free. Addictive but long game. Heavy usage on the batt.

MealSplitter - USD 0.99. Simply split bills fairly.

WeDict - Free.

Wifi Toggle (Cydia) use it all the time.

Apps? Okay let's see -

I have quick voice for unlimited duration recording now, as I find this the best among others.

But those to-do to-do apps aren't promising at all

Some crash when you have too many events saved in it,

Some hangs in the middle when you are typing halfway

That's why I don't wanna waste my money buying apps that are just based on the dev's words.

I'm still sticking to both my notes & calendar now =(((

Another which is wordpress,

Start to have log in failures and updating failures.

Palringo often hangs and doesn't respond >.<

But it's still fine.

Mobilechat is even terrible, never able to log in at all

Omnifocus is way too complicated though it's very stable

For wedict, I find it better and easier than the pro version

I'm very frustrated of all these

I think those reviews on the AppStore itself is rather blunt and honest, if those folks dont like it, they immediately posted it there, with its pros and cons. For more info, you can head to Youtube, search for the apps there and watch the clip.

somehow i always trust those reviews embedded in the itunes store... not a good practice i suppose...

You just need to weed out the good ones from the bad ones.
