it depends.. u can try & see their reaction by letting them sniff each other.. but, for safety reasons, use a separator so that they can actually smell but cant attack the other.. do this on neutral ground, so that they wont fight becos of territory.. if they suddenly becomes aggressive, means it's highly possible that they cant stay together.. btw, wat are their sex?

ok.. first of all.. dun place them together again if it's not necessary.. WW are very territorial, especially males.. there's very high chance that they will fight..

Same goes to the females. Same sex will fight more often compare to diff sex 1.

I would say it's impossible already.. 2 weeks is very long. Even if you removed one of the hamsters & then put it back after a day or two, they won't know each other already.. For females it's the same also, they will fight because it's just their nature to be territorial.. So, just get another cage/tank for one of them.. There's no use buying a big cage/tank & end up with a dead hamster..

i've always used this method.. this method is used to test their reaction towards each other, & whether it's advisable to put them back together.. but i don't place them in the cage.. i place them on neutral grounds.. usually when they smell each other thru the separator, 3 things can happen:

1. they react very aggressively & try to attack each other.. at this point, be careful when u touch them or they might bite u unintentionally.. this shows that they cant be placed together, of cos..
2. they sniff each other out & are curious about the other.. at this point, let them continue doing this, and observe their behaviour, whether 1 is intimidated by the other or not.. if there's any squeeking, it means that's the one that feels intimidated.. but if there's no sign of aggressiveness, u can then try to remove the separator slowly, & let them meet.. if in the end they ignore each other, then it's safe to place them together.. if one of them attacks the other, separate them immediately!
3. they sniff each other for a while & totally ignored each other! well, this pair is certainly able to live together, at least for now...

not all hamsters will have the same results.. for me, i've had some successful pairings of siblings which were separated for a few days.. but i cant guarantee if u've separated them for too long..

No need use the splitting cage method also can one. Just put them near to each if fighting noise came out then cant live together. if sound isnt that harsh(aggressive) then can try. If loud then cant mix them.
