midvalley roborovskies really expensive la...rm 48 each ........jus wanna ask...hamster can use hay ar?? ....and how to noe a hamster is drinking enuf water or not?? i am using habitrail OVO series so duno if the water bottle on the OVO is quite unknown to the roborovskies...........becos its not ball bearing wan at the tip instead it is designed on the laws of surface tension and the gravity wan...means at the tips oni can see water coming out but wont drip.....duno they noe how to suck from there onot.

Yeap hamsters do use hay, they use it to build nest. Pregnant mum will need hay to make things go easier.

Ur roboroski drink lil water only, so it's normal that ur water bottle is full alwayz . They r doing fine, dun worry

the moment u put the water bottle in, surely there will be a few drops ... i think the hamster will know there is the water source guar... btw, they lick it, not suck... can see their tongue

wat i meant is, when he assumes 1 is active & 1 is lazy, does he mean that they're everytime in this manner? if so, how does he know which Particular robo is active & which 1 is not? cos robos are hard to differentiate just by looking at them.. dunno u get wat i mean or not..

eg. i dun think anyone can name their robos & actually remember which is which.. as for my robo, they're kinda obvious becos 1 has a messy fur with more black underlying fur & the other has a smoother & less black underlying fur.. but maybe this is gonna change one day, & i wont be able to differentiate between them anymore..

scented bedding is bad for hamsters right? i dont get why some ppl still insist on buying scented bedding!

how would you all determine whether the hamster is pregnant?
i bought a pair of hamster when they are 3 weeks old...
now they are already 6-7 weeks...
the female grows so fast and she is now about 1 and 1/2 size of the male...
is it pregnant or just fat?
and one more problem...
they like to pee and shit on the wheel...
and so their tail will get wet and look unhealthy bcoz of that...
when i took out the wheel for a while...
they recovered...
but when i put it back (after washing and drying)
their tail will be wet again after running on the wheel...
is there any solution for this?
