F430 is an FR (rear wheel) drive car while the GTR has always been a 4WD.

In terms of handling, of course the GTR will be more stable and will not oversteer due to overrevving like more FR cars do.

All Ferraris are FR drive type.

Yup.... 4WD does not oversteer that much, Rear Wheel tend to oversteer with you're not careful with the throttle. Mid-engines are the most prone to oversteer... but a fun to drive. ie, Lotus Elise.
As for the Ferrari, i personally like the F430. And no, it does not oversteer to a point its impossible to drive.

The car that suffers the worse is the ford GT. Without a proper wheel, it's impossible.

Same goes to the 599.

yah...notice that too...F430 actually takes corner faster than GTR IMO...but with 6axis...hard to control throttle... sad.gif

Actually, i think its like this: MR and RR are two totally different engine layouts. E.g: MR=Mid engine-rear wheel drive, RR=Rear engine-rear wheel drive, FR=Front engine-rear wheel drive. So, i guess most Ferraris i've seen are MR. (engine mounted in the middle) Even the Enzo is MR i think. E.g of RR vehicles are the Porsche 911, Cayman, etc... i think.

But, cars like the Nissan GTR and Audi R8 are both 4WD, but with different engine positions. However PD only basically classified their drivetrains as 4WDs in general. hmm.gif

Correct me if i'm wrong here. notworthy.gif

Ferraris dont have their cars under RR layouts. Only MR and FR. The only Ferraris nowadays that comes in FR includes the 575 Maranello, 612 and the 599.

RMR (MR) is Mid-engine, rear-wheel drive and RR is rear-engine, rear-wheel drive layout.

And you're right, the Enzo has the RMR(MR) layout. And so does the RR that comes mostly in Porsches. rclxms.gif

At first i think so too rclxub.gif , but when i started playing GT2 on PS1, i finally understand what the letter "F" in "FR" meant.
