back to topic.anyone know how to do setting for drift?
*
Shouldn't you know what sort of settings you should use for your own drift style since you got the reality drift skills ? blink.gif

Change the ride height depending on the car's drivetrain.
Then alter the tyres according to your style of drifting.

Other than that, it's totally up to you.
Good luck. rclxms.gif

I'll try mine tonight.

Anyways.. I made into top ten on the Amuse S2000 drift trial on the Eiger Nordwand reverse track yesterday on professional physics. icon_idea.gif

Have no idea whether my ranking would have dropped or not.

i tot most ferarris are consider MR or is it consider RR except the 599 which is a FR?
*
Ferraris dont have their cars under RR layouts. Only MR and FR. The only Ferraris nowadays that comes in FR includes the 575 Maranello, 612 and the 599.

QUOTE(nizam80 @ May 6 2008, 03:45 PM)
Actually, i think its like this: MR and RR are two totally different engine layouts. E.g: MR=Mid engine-rear wheel drive, RR=Rear engine-rear wheel drive, FR=Front engine-rear wheel drive. So, i guess most Ferraris i've seen are MR. (engine mounted in the middle) Even the Enzo is MR i think. E.g of RR vehicles are the Porsche 911, Cayman, etc... i think.

But, cars like the Nissan GTR and Audi R8 are both 4WD, but with different engine positions. However PD only basically classified their drivetrains as 4WDs in general. hmm.gif

Correct me if i'm wrong here. notworthy.gif
*
RMR (MR) is Mid-engine, rear-wheel drive and RR is rear-engine, rear-wheel drive layout.

And you're right, the Enzo has the RMR(MR) layout. And so does the RR that comes mostly in Porsches. rclxms.gif

I having problem completing the SS challenges, especially those 630 points race, dun even have chance at all... can i ask what car did u all use to complete the challenge ?

Also for the 700 pts challenge in Fuji Speedway, i used Amuse S2000 also onli can get like 7th position, nowhere near the 3rd car....

And i am really irritated with the penalty thingy, whereby the computer car rammed me but then i get the penalty for ramming............sighs

Appreciate any advise from the gurus...

There's an update for the japanese version (I'm not sure about the US version) Love the new intro which features 2 R8's racing in a tight parking bay.

Anyways, I wonder if any one of you here have already watched this :

Yes I've completed. But not all golds though. I got mostly bronze for S class events.

Use their pre-made configurations and fine tune it to your suitable style of driving.

I can't even win the F430 Challenge....
Any tips for that?
*
Which F430 challenge ?

I only know there's an S class event where you've to use the F40.

Or you mean the challenge from the Ferrari Dealer ?

With the launch of the Ferrari California in the game, it's a helluva nice car.
Handles like a charm, up and down shifts like god speed.

You should try that car if you're referring to the Ferrari Dealer challenge.
Really easy to get acquainted with the car's handling.

Even for GT veterans (ahem, like myself), playing on PRO mode needs more practice... smile.gif

The Class A - A8 Ferrari F430 Mission Race. Daytona Road Course track.
I only able to make it 6th place. The first corner really a problem. If i unable to take out 2 car from there then really hard to catch up.
*
Ah I got bronze for that.

I'm assuming you're using a stock Ferrari, no changes to the tunings. Manual transmission, all driving aids off.

Refer to the picture for the corner I'm referring to.

The first corner (1), you couldn't really dodge the 599 and the DB9. No matter how I wanted it to be a clean race but since I wanted to get the top 3, I had to shunt them. But not too hard of course. If you don't want to shunt, try pushing them from the left side of their car and squeeze through, I never tried this but I'll do it later and see how it works out.

And the final corners (9 and 10) , try sliding your car at forth gear around ~150km/h. You should be able to drift around the corners at that speed without losing control. I usually start braking at the point where the P word is in DAYTONA SUPERSTRETCH on the map. Don't brake to the max or the car will lose control.

When going high speed around the track towards the end (after corner 10), keep to the left when turning the corner (11), and try having some slipstream if possible. Then on the straights (after 12), just use your opponent's slipstream and head to the finish line !

If you're able to do all of these above, you should get your timings around ~2'0x.xxx and you should be in 3rd place.

If it still doesn't help, try turning on the driving line.

Of course this is my way of completing that particular event. If some one else has another way to complete it, do share. rclxms.gif

Spec III is available for update leh... my GT5P is now spec III with the Citroen in the pic available to me. They updated the GT5P during the British Motor Show with 3 cars, the Lotus Evora, Citroen and Ferrari California.
Isn't this the same one as the picture above in the new released??

And guys, got a question, does anyone know how to obtain the screenshot from GT5P, or perhaps download the replay into a video? I have been scouring all over and no one seem to know how to do it. I saw people with Youtube video of GT5P and also screenshots from GT5P, and wondered if I can get some pics/video of my own race.

Thanks for the help!
*
About the capturing screenshots thing,

There isn't an option to do that at the moment.

I'm pretty sure they will be implementing that feature in the next few updates, they can't just ditch the photo option from the previous GT!

I'm not sure about the replay-to-video though.

But how the others do, is to either capture via a VGA card or a HDMI capture card (one commonly used card among the people who capture their game videos is the Blackmagic Intensity Pro).
