use professional and 0 traction i think can go further, or jz turn off all driving assist, traction control will slow ur acceleration

I've noticed that those top timers managed to do perfect cornering which I totally can't catch up (using ghost replay). I was thinking could it be due to the fact that some racers are using Racing Wheel instead of joypad which could maximize the throttle control thus higher speed and cleaner turns around chicane? Feedback from forummers need on this. Thanks!
Note: All driving aids are turned off. This post has been edited by Thrust: May 2 2008, 09:33 AM |

That's right... throttle control i think shud be the main factor, cornering, well yeah, steering wheel can execute better, but controller is fine too, but throttle maintaining is very hard with the controller lol...Note: All driving aids are turned off. but nvm, hey.. they have paid so much to get the wheels, this is where they can enjoy them man.. if u hate them, be one of them XD~... <collecting money for G25> |

Thats why i use R2 for throttle and L2 for braking rather than the default X and [].
More precise throttle control as you can step half the throttle only during tight cornering and stay on the racing line than to understeer with full throttle. |

Right analog for throttle/brake. If you want to use the handbrake for some drifting purpose, how ?
I've just won the last race of A class with R35 GT-R'07, beating another R35 GT-R'07 a whopping 2 seconds, overtook him during the 2nd corner in the 3rd lap. I'm good with Fuji Speedway F, practise too much time trial already |

I'm too dependant on racing line to judge the perfect braking point, without the racing line, I'll miss most of the time and fly out of the turn. Use about 60~70km/h to take that corner braking about 100m before the turn.
If you don't use the racing line, here are some cornering speeds in my mind: 1) 1st High Speed u-turn: 60~70km/h 2) Left handle apex turn: 135km/h 3) smooth right handler: 150km/h 4) Tight left handler turn: 80km/h 5) High Speed S-Curve chicane: 60km/h (brake before the Dunlop signboard on your right) 6) Right handler: about 90km/h 7) Tight left handler: 70km/h 8) Final right turn to high speed straight: 80~90km/h Most of these turns depends on the car you chose as well as the tyre type (not changeable during events) This post has been edited by tanghm: May 2 2008, 02:55 PM |
