I've noticed that those top timers managed to do perfect cornering which I totally can't catch up (using ghost replay). I was thinking could it be due to the fact that some racers are using Racing Wheel instead of joypad which could maximize the throttle control thus higher speed and cleaner turns around chicane? Feedback from forummers need on this. Thanks! smile.gif

Note: All driving aids are turned off.

After completing all the Class A,B and C events, are we able to tune our cars? I noticed in time trials, those that tops the chart are damn fast. Is their car tuned or it remains as stock?

Any GT5 kaki here wanna try time trial for Fuji Speedway F using Mitsubishi Evo X. I've been playing this track like mad and only managed to get 1.55.908 sad.gif The fastest driver managed 1.53.913 and thats 2 seconds away sad.gif There's only 2 Asians managed to get into the top 100.

Edit: Managed 1.55.487 this afternoon. rclxub.gif

Make sure your connection is not sharing with another PC. Just allow the connection dedicated for your PS3 else it'll always DC.

If let say I use GT Wheel playing GT5P, can it manage to shred more time off my record?

Time trial record for FujiSpeedWay F using Evo X was 1.53.689 and I managed only 1.55.338 which I think is the lowest time possible for me to achieve. I think the record holder might be using GT wheel.

Anyone can bust this myth???

imho, you can steer more smoothly with a wheel.
*
If you are sensitive enough, whenever you steer using your analog stick, your speedometer will increase slower. I wonder if Wheel can diminish this effect if we steer gently using a wheel.

Eh! how come GT5 fans here not interested in reducing lap time>?? Seldom talk about how to reduce lap time for specific tracks?? Isn't racing is all about faster time?? sad.gif

Guess there's not many serious racing fans around sad.gif

bro, I dunno about you. But I don't have the luxury to play PS3 in long hours everyday. Have family+job to take care.If I can play 2 hours can consider bonus already. And I would love to reduce my laps times, but still have other games to play. Better to play n njoy multiple games with family members than just stucked on 1 racing course for days alone whistling.gif

Just because we never reduced our lap times doesn't mean we not serious racing fan  whistling.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif

Me too, don't really spend that much time on the PS3 but whenever I hit the track, I'll try to better my previous time.

I am now quite interested in getting the G25 wheel. Sure to reduce lap time. sweat.gif

I think those with racing wheels can clock a much faster time. That is what I encountered in GT5P.

Maybe it's just me... but the physics feel very different from prologue.. unless of course... thats how the car drives.. lol

Anyway.. my time as of last night...
Tuned - 1.39.8xx
Normal - 1.50.7xx

I think.

Overall - 10th in Asia  thumbup.gif

I'm sure i'm dropped by now anyway.. because everyone just seem to outdo each other...

Bro, you're using wheel or controller?

not faster.. usign wheel.. u can estimate the right turn angle and know how to brake on time.. especially when u ahve the force feedback.. ull know when to turn and when not..

with dualshock... u dont know you are turning to ahrd or not..
*
Throttle control is much more accurate with wheels too bro cool.gif You can avoid those wheelspin but using proper "throttle control" technique.

Damn, clocked in at 1.40.4xx for tuned event. The DS3 is just giving me too much wheel spin during exit of corners sad.gif

Dual Shock need to press half of your thumb pressure on the button for half throttle which is hard to do when you are in a time attack
*
That's the problem. Alternatively is to switch the throttle to R2 and braking to L2. I didn't do that because I am totally not used to that control scheme ~_~

Maybe I'll get a G25 later on. I know I can fight at the TOP laugh.gif (hopefully)

That won't be a good idea too because like you said, you won't get used to it

If G25 is able to shred some time off, I'll have to readjust to it. tongue.gif

Can.... in the time trial.. see the rankings.... then you see the names of top drivers... select anyone of them... info of them will be shown... from there... you can download the replay.

yea, like i said.. some players using ds3 can really tarpao a lot of people using wheel..
*
The only way to stay competitive using DS3 is to assign THROTTLE to R2 button & BRAKING to L2. Only these 2 buttons on the DS3 can gives u the most accurate feel of throttle & braking as compared to buttons.

What sort of stand do you guys use to mount the wheel? Mind sharing?

Just got Driving Force GT yesterday. Time is down to 1.39.405. It's so so so difficult to shed more time off even though there's room for improvement (about 3sec from the leader)
