LOL, dun close it, i like this thread.....For my personal, for PS3, i only interest it when Sony decide release shadow of the colossus 2 on PS3, i m already bore with the game like MGS and FF, i only finish MGS and FF7 at my PS, all series of MGS and FF at PS2, i never finish it, all play at early stage, then i stop it, those game i play make me feel bore.... no mood to continue it. At PS2, i only found God of War n shadow of the colossus give me mood to finish the game, i want another game like shadow of the colossus. About god of War??? I think i will stop play it, bcoz in the market got too many this kind of game came out already, example like Conan, but i bought PS2 just bcoz of Winning Eleven. For XBox360, Gear of war really give me the first step to grab it, second Dead Rising, Dead or Alive Xtreme 2(Sometime my eyes need fresh) and Ninja Gaiden which i waiting for so long. Ya, someone like to said some good game like GOW will release on pc, but is up to u if u want to wait for a year or more than that to play this game. 3rod? This one must depend how deep u really like the game of xbox360, anyway my xbox360 still can work perfectly after nearly 2 years, also got hit by 2rod many time ad, but it still work, maybe my luck r better. So i must said this 2 console have nothing to compare when u got 1 of them, bcoz is u decide to use ur money pay for it, not money decide u buy it, so dun jealous on other console owner. Just my personal 2cent....
depends on ur taste lar..both oso have their own exclusive game. if u have the money, buy both. When u enter to the game..is all bout the gaming experience, not looking so deeply into the technology. But my vote will goes for PS3 coz due to the RROD problem for Xbox360. Both have their advantage. Purpose of creating this thread is to enjoy both fans argueing for their favourite consoles?
errmmm I like ps3 controllers..is easy user friendly =D thats why i give a score to ps3 for controllers.

Althought this kinda flamewar give benefits for those who planning to choose the right console,
Until now I still could not decide to choose among 2, the problem is everywhere like ps3 with lense issue, xbox with 3ROD. This keeping me delay & confuse that possibly end with dekstop gaming, (and suddenly become offtopic )
till then keep fighting (lol) , maybe I reconsidering going to console gaming,

ps3 lens problems doesn't occur frequently bro. is just unlucky that you get the console. once fix it won't be a problem anymore. unlike the xbox360 3rod.
in one of the game shops
19 xbox360 consoles are under repairment due to 3rod problem 1 ps3 are under repairment due to lens prob

I find xbox controllers are awesome for FPS. I even use my xbox controller to play Crysis / Bioshock on PC. I've got kinda used to it . I have "YET" to try a ps3. But i will be getting one by the end of this month. I wanna watch blu ray ..
Btw does any1 here know how big a PS3 adapter is comparing to the monstrous XBOX power brick

I already edited my thread. You can check out the adapter.
To me 360 controller is the best this gen. It comfortable, triggers feel just right, analog placement didn't hurt my thumb plus the inclusion of the "R1 (RB)" and "L1(LB)" button.
Now I haven't touched a sixaxis or dual shock 3 but it looks kinda the same as last gen (with triggers). I had some bad times with the DS 2 (slipped thumbs, awkward analog placement), so I'm basing my thoughts on this.
It's not just FPS, most of next gen games utilizes the use of two analog sticks (one for movement, the other for camera for example), so IMO 360 controller is the best for this.
PS controllers have great d-pads but those are for last gen 2D fighter games, those games are near extinct. In short, if I ever get a PS3, it'd be cool to use 360 controller while playing its games.

there's no six axis in production now is dualshock 3. but the xbox360 controller is heavy ...and there's a battery back on the back. I hate the buttons the colours are so chidlish!

But xbox360 controller really not suitable for Winning Eleven or PES, PS Dual Shock still the best for the PES/WE.
I have to agree on that .. even xbox controller aren't good for GH3 ... Certain game like DMC or sport i think it might be good with DS3 but with FPS or racing games i think XBOX 360 is better ..
Color of buttons don't really disturb me neither the Triangle X, O or the square. It's just about getting used to it. I rather have color or shape on my controller comparing to Wii. I've sometimes get lost between button one and button 2 .hahahahha , we all have different preference..
Well, I don't look at the controller much when I'm playing ! You could be right about GH3 and PES because I didn't play those kinda games. I'm noticing a trend this gen where both analog sticks are being used in the videogame genre that I like so 360 controller is my choice.
Ok gamers.Hey wait..what about Nintendo Wii? Hmmm for Nintendo Wii I won't compare it because it is a different type of console and of course gamers will say things like graphics, casual games and this console is a fair friendly console so it doesn't stick to it. Yes.Results says Nintendo Wii selling the most.Yeap congrats Nintendo! This topic is the comparison between xbox360 and ps3 Ohh!! So tough to decide!!
I got this video from youtube. This guy is judging the xbox360 and ps3 himself. Take a look at this video and see whether is there anything you want to comment abt it before we move on.
LETS see what gamers say
watch the video and give comments here and wait till the results comes.
Continued
Ok the videos that this guy posted some things are right and not right. Why? I mean look....he didn't even mention the games right. Xbox360 has FAR more games compared to ps3. We are to enjoy and play more games as we can to satisfy ourselves. Also, you can burn hdvd games for modded,so this is the part where consumers are possesed at. xbox360 exclusive game that are releases and unreleased yet. *TO DATE*

So in terms of exclusive games releases I will go for Xbox360.
ps3 0 - xbox360 1
As I said something aren't right. The xbox360 graphics a.k.a xenon. The guys posted in the video he didn't know what's the capacity of xenos and he gives 1 score each.LOL? I tell you guys.Xenon has a higher capacity compared to PS3'S graphics. Why? This battle will be very similar to last generation.
32-bit FP madd PS2 CPU - 6.0 GFLOPS Xbox CPU - 2.932 GFLOPS
PS3 Cell - 204.8 GFLOPS Xbox CPU - 115.2 GFLOPS

PS3 Not exact, but similar. You even program them the same way - Cell being a major pain to program and very flexible, XCPU being a piece of cake but less flexible. The difference lies in the video cards. PS3 and X360 will have similar video cards - Xbox's video philosophy is implemented on the PS3 (large memory, little cache, seperate pixel/vertex shaders). So RSX can provide a lot of power - rendering a game like GoW at 1080p. When combined with Cell, lets just say big things will happen. It could be a while before anyone starts using Cell for graphics though.
But even then widespread use is unlikely (like Emotion Engine utilization for PS2). So Cell is a good word to describe the chip, since developers feel as if they are in a 'cell' when first trying to program it, constrained by local memory management, no brand prediction on the SPEs, assembler programming, SPE kernel management for seven processors, etc. Loop unrolling is practially mandatory (128 vector registers for each SPE) as well as compiler modicactions. Of course things won't as bad as the Emotion Engine, where developers had no cache, tools, documentation, examples, tutorials, or how-to guides on how to use EE, making them feel very angry EMOTIONS while trying to develop for it.

Xbox360 Xenon has the juice to provide developers full-optimization of its CPU with quick turnaround time. Microsoft being the benevolent software company that they are, have given Xenon the best development environment yet seen on a console (as said by John Carmack). The dot-product instruction makes running 3D code easier then before, along with copious cache and branch prediction.
But Microsoft forgot about programming ease when they decided to include TWO threads per each of the three cores of the CPU. Parallezing your code among three processors caused lots of Emotion on PS2, and will undoubtedly cause similar Emotions on X360. At least X360 has plenty of cache and good tools.

Terms of graphics.Xbox360 wins
ps3 0 - xbox360 2
Continued
Ok now lets move on to physical dimensions and design The guys posted in this video did not mention the physicial dimension as is not so important to him I guess. He didn't even post completely the editions/designs/models that the xbox360 released same goes to Ps3. So is quite unfair at that case. But in this case things are yet to be resulted correctly and true.
The Xbоx360 weights 7.7 pounds (3.5 kg) and is:
309 mm wide x 83 mm high x 258 mm deep
12.15 in wide x 3.27 in high x 10.15 in deep
The PS3 weights 11 pounds(5kg)
sorry gamers,I don't have the measurements for PS3 yet. but 11 pounds is quite heavy though.
So PS3 lacks in physical dimensions. As you can see.
PS3 are available in piano black(original colour),ceramic white and satin silver not to mention the models of 40gb and 80gb (20gb and 60gb stop production f.y.i) Most gamers likes piano black in colour not to mention ceramic white and satin silver. But in editions and designs are only ONE with DIFFERENT colours RESPECTIVELY.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
Xbox360 has a halo3 edition(spartan green and gold finsih),elite edition(black) and the premium(original colour) not to mention 20gb and 120gb models. But in editions and designs are only THREE with ONE colour RESPECTIVELY. In future there maybe more editions and designs. [FACTS] MS can release halo3 edition in xbox360 why not Gears of Wars and Assasin Creed? So is possible.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
In physical dimensions are not a problem for PS3 although Xbox360 is lighter than ps3. But in designs and editions is important for us gamers. It gives us choices of varieties of designs and editions for us to choose. ps3:0 xbox360:3
Should I give a chance to Sony for future improvements?

Features
Pressure sensors that rumble with each action making every impact feel like you're right in the game SIXAXIS(tm) highly sensitive motion control system senses your every move Features Bluetooth technology for wireless game play; the PLAYSTATION(R)3 system can support up to seven wireless controllers at one time Can be charged at any time through the PLAYSTATION(R)3 system using the controller's USB cable
Description
The DUALSHOCK(R)3 wireless controller for the PLAYSTATION(R)3 system provides the most intuitive game play experience with pressure sensors in each action button and the inclusion of the highly sensitive SIXAXIS(tm) motion sensing technology. Each hit, crash and explosion is more realistic when the user feels the rumble right in the palm of their hand. It can even detect natural movements for real-time and high precision interactive play, acting as a natural extension of the user's body.
DUALSHOCK 3 utilizes Bluetooth technology for wireless game play and the controller's USB cable to seamlessly and automatically charge the controller through the PLAYSTATION(R)3 at anytime. By integrating all of these features into the popular PlayStation controller design, the DUALSHOCK 3 will further enhance the advanced game play experience only available on the PLAYSTATION(R)3 system.
So which one is better? Honestly I am getting use to PS buttons and it is comfortable. Before xbox released.I had a ps2 long time ago.So I was and still a playstation owner. It does not need as many buttons to controll compared to the xbox360. In looks,Xbox360 has the ugliest childish controller. Look at the buttons it comes with colourful colours.Man that sucks. But it looks better in halo3 edition. From the back view it looks awful with the battery pack on it. Dualshock 3 in all colours looks very neat and tidy looking. From the back view it looks good too. Also,Dualshock 3 is lighter than the xbox360 controller I won't compare how many controllers that you can use in 1 console because I do no need that many so were you. Also xbox360 controller with 30foot range I would say is further than enough. You don't need a 70foot range unless you're playing on a screen projector. The guy posted in the video says xbox360 does not have play and charge kit and no vibrations.Lol? Both xbox360 and ps3 has a play and charge kit and have an adjustable vibration system. So overall I would say PS3 Dualshock 3 is the best.

Xbox360's adapter is obvious that it is heavy and big. PS3's adapter is lighter and won't cause any overheat problems. ps3:3 xbox360:3 A DRAW!
I never play Xbox b4, but why do the xbox controllers not using rechargeable? hell even my mosquito eletric killer can be rechargeable and made from china
I do know about others but remote play from my ps3 is a interesting factor.....
Currently I have PS3, I'll get XBOX360 after they fix the 3ROD problem. I'm not in a hurry anyway. PC and PS3 game already not enough time to complete it.

they do have rechargeable batteries for the wireless controller....even u can charge em while u playing games ( play and charge kit ) # Xbox360
I use dpad to play winning eleven. If is like xbox controller, i wonder how i will perform
