Carrefour selling Sony Bravia at RM1999 now.
Should be the oldest discontinued model but still quite worth it IMO

does it mean that this tv is not capable of receiving 1080p signal but instead upconvert signal to 1080p?

I think it's not pv800 it's py800h as above. This set is full HD which means it can accept and display full 1080p resolution. I think all of the new panasonic range can accept 1080p.

If you are a Pana supporter, I suggest you go with Pana's plasma.

great ....thanks Ferricide for the comments

currently i'm using composite cable, and my sofa is near to LCD TV .....the image look bad ....i can see the TV pixelated sad.gif

Added on May 20, 2008, 11:15 pmwe can just take out the composite cables and replace with component cable ? we do not need composite cable anymore ? the sound can be output right if using component ?

anyone know the price ?
*

Hypermarts are selling maxcable component cable for abt RM50. I didnt see any apparent difference compare to my more expensive component cable.

When a SD source is fed to a LCD TV via a composite, the PQ is pixelated. If you have DVDP with HDMI, then you will see the difference. smile.gif

Composite (yellow) is only for visual. It doesnt affect the sound. Sound (red & white or optical and coaxial) is using another different set of cables.
