QUOTE(iman_210 @ May 2 2008, 03:45 PM) which series are those? m torn in decision...what most of u guys use here? Depends on who you ask And of course the $$. For anything sub 5K there isnt any fullhd plasma panels. Dunno about lcd though. The sifus may have a better answer. Am looking for a plasma too. I tested the kuro 42" but not impressed probably the source no good, but then again my own sources are ahem.. So I am leaning towards the pv80 but yet to test the newly launched koreans, heard they are really good too.

Samsung has Full HD LCD Tv for 32"; LA32A550. RRP : RM3,799.00.
I do hope that Pioneer could slash the price of its plasma after they sourced the panel from Panny. Hope, it would not affect its outstanding PQ.

Added on May 3, 2008, 3:56 amis it true that nowadays sony use samsung and sharp component.. Sony and Samsung have a joint venture in Korea to manufacture the LCDs panel. Yes, SONY does use Samsung panels. Recently, i think SONY join up with Sharp and will produce LCD with Sharp panels in the future. Not sure whether they'll still use the Samsung panels though. So when u buy Sony LCD, you are actually buying Samsung..and Sharp LCD...but of course, the difference is in the DSP which makes the difference. btw, SONY also use Sharp LCD previously in earlier batches of PSP, but switch to some other makes due to cost issue...so the earlier PSP actually have better quality LCDs... http://www.hardwarezone.com.my/news/view.php?id=10081&cid=5http://news.digitaltrends.com/news/story/1..._lcd_productionThis post has been edited by Matrix: May 3 2008, 09:09 AM

LG PG60 is RM4899 with divx playable via usb Panny PV80 is around RM45XX with jpg playable via sdhc
unless forumers here can offer cheaper price for that LG PG60 it's better to get panny and if wanna play divx get a dvd player with that capability costing a couple of hundred ringgit only, still total cheaper
