Today morning 9.15am, I had called the P1 Technical Support. While they answer my question about the IP address.
They said that the P1 W1max currently is using Static IP Address. It needs to set inside the modem. Hence, every time you reboot your modem, the IP will stick with the modem without release.

Besides, while I ask 2nd question about the Personal & Business Plan spec are same. It just the Business plan will entitle to have 1st priority to the customer service and the quality of service. Besides, personal plan is a 2nd or the last priority of their service. (Is it the speed of Business entitled to 1st Priority?)

Furthermore, when I ask about the overheat modem. They mention if try user burn the modem have to pay RM1, 500.00, while registered user will entitle to have 1 year warranty for the modem. If try user on try period burn the modem must pay and the registered user after 1 year warranty have to purchase 2nd modem RM999.00

Nationwide Access, they explained as while we travel to other state. Such as, from KL or Selangor you travel to Melaka, Penang or Others if got coverage. If we subscribe to Promotion Packages on 12 month or 24 month term the RM10 is waves.

If signed the contract you must use for 12 or 24 month according the contract. If you want Unsubscribe you need to pay the rest of the remaining month. P1 advice that you don’t unsubscribe their service, If you Unsubscribe you still had to pay. (It sound like ah long)

About the monthly bandwidth, P1 said that currently there is no monthly bandwidth yet. The 20Gb is just a rumor according to their Technical Department.


Modem Price = free Valid Until End of September
Register fee = RM100.00
Activation fee = RM50.00
Stamp Duty = RM10.00

Packages fee = RM89 per month for 1.2Mbps for 2 years Subscribe
1st Month Pay:
=RM249 without Technical Installation

Packages fee = RM199 per month for 2.4Mbps for 2 years Subscribe
1st Month Pay:
= RM359 without Technical Installation


Optional:
Fengsui master come to your house install the modem = RM80.00
If needed just call P1 & they will arrange for you

They not just lie you what, i at setapak genting cort got coverage. They also said no coverage d....

I called their customer support to let them know what is my view as a customer.

First of all price for 1.2mbps is more compare to any 3G/4G/ADSL provider in country. Contract.

They are with a new technology but where is the advantage ? a big size modem and they call its mobile ?

If they dont revise their package, sure they will join Aussie gang.

My area is covered but I am not giving up on 4yrs streamyx line(very stable) for them.

I think will wait another 6 month.

Any body got their connection please share your experience.

Aussie might fail because of their connection probably. I think australia already have very high speed internet access.

On the contrary, we, on the other hand are desperate users for high speed internet access. So the possibility for success would be higher.

Btw, I think there are 3 more wimax license holder company who had not yet show their faces. In total, there should be 4 companies holding this wimax license.

Yeh, ask the 3 more W1Max show their face......

REDTONE already launch as well. However, they cover east Malaysia for now and P1 cover peninsular.

OMG, soon Malaysia will be many Microwave signal from all ISP company.....

is wimax can support up to 20th floor?
i know maxis bb can only support until 7 / 8th floor.

yeah. my streamyx very stable.
i thinks i only will get wireless bb if im moving.

Hope P1 invent a new modem that allow us to connect an external anntena.
if let say we stay at 20th floor we put a wire antenna to lowewr floor
Hope they can do that or try improve their service to support high story condo,

Wow .....have to pay RM1500 for a overheated modem which is really not our fault, and that is really not right !!

Besides that, looks like there is still teething problems at the beginning and base is still small

But a nice start of WIMAX, more competition for TMNUT, hopefully we could get better service in the future

That is up to 3.6Mbps. In reality , its impossible to get more then 3Mbps unless there is like nobody using it. At last P1 is offering something more realistic. Get the difference between 3G Broadband and WiMax !

i dont know why they need to put 3.6 mbps on the package when it cant even reach like 3 mbps

sometimes i really dont know what their trying to prove but we all know that malaysia can only go up to 2 mbps or maybe a bit higher but not 3

Thats the limitation of technology. When they say up to 3.6Mbps , meaning that it can go anywhere from 0 to 3.6Mbps whereas P1 advertises it as 1.2Mbps and 2.4Mbps , meaning that you should get at least 70% of the advertised speed. (same goes for streamyx as well)

Speed high or lowis the fact that we need accept.
Besides, The letency slow also no use d wor...... see my Celcom3g latency so high.....695ms...
Besides, the distant from the Base Station so far.... while i trace my own IP i found that celcom3g Base Station locate at Sarawak.......
But i use at KL.....

if the modem really overheat during trial usage < this proof they provided lousy modem & not mean to survive a short 15 day endurance

i believe they also same as celcom or maxis... up to 1.2mbps & 2.4mbps...

there is no guarantee of minimun speed...

But 1 thing for sure is they gave us Static IP wor,
we can host server o.O

The modem of Try user spoil or lost, the try user must fine RM1500 as the contract that you sign.
The modem of registred user spoil or lost, you got 2 option
1. buy the new 1 to continue use RM999. and or 1 year warranty
2. ignore it, so u no modem use, but you also need to pay for it every month
