I'm not so sure about this. You gotta keep in mind that their equipment gonna cost as much as 3G modem. Heck, 3G is much more in demand for now so I guess their equipment is cheaper.
I believe the USB Modem is the size of a average thumbdrive. Smaller than 3.5G device.
WiMAX devices are said to be 1/3 of the price of 3G devices due to the fact that 3G only has one chipset vendor (Qualcomm) but WiMAX has several chipset vendors (RUNCOM, SEQUAN, BECEEM, GCT etc) which make better competition and so cheaper devices.

personally i more interested on the latency. under <50ms

can fight with streamyx/3.5G
If P1 willing to subsidies the WiMax modem, i think this great deal.
hope they don't follow IzzI step. have to paid one lump sum.
Regular ping to YAHOO will take u >200ms. Unless you ping within your own network, it's unlikely to get <50ms. This applies to any sort of technology.

Oh yeah, regarding the latency thingy, the best thing about wimax is from the station to another station almost ZERO latency. Of course in the end its still depends on their international backbone, but not a bad news at all right?
By common sense, there is no such thing as zero latency from one basestation to another basestation.
