keros-fire rig i see here brows.gif
wait i try to read pictars
ok, just trying my best ph34r.gif
jumper free:
PEG = PCI-E Graphic, setting i dunno tongue.gif
CPU Overvolt give you more fine control on Vcore
AI Clock Skew is RAM related

CPU config:
MTRR my mobo also has it, didn't notice any different change from continous to discrete
HT linkspeed, what option you got inside?

memory config:
memclock mode put it limit should come out another menu so you can limit your RAM speed ( DDR400(1:1)/333(5:6)/266(2:3)/200(1:2) ) while overclock thru CPU frequency (stock 200MHz)
MCT timing just like the usual CL-TRCD-TRP-TRAS-TRRD-TRC-TRFC thing
MCT extra timing you need to play around
burst length 4 for stability, 8 for performance

ECC config:
just leave it / disable as you don't use RAM with ECC whistling.gif

HT config:
HT linkspeed again? i think you can keep it high as ATi chipset can go very high HT speed from TA690 (AM2 thread)
CPU-NB linkwidth keep it 16bit (16↑ 16↓ thing)

i dunno dude
even when i dont tweak
sometimes when i boot, it'll say "overclocking failed, press f1 to enter setup or f2 to load default values..."

if i tweak one thing, its the same message
what the heck eh?

Asus mobo still strong for their socket 939. its just their AM2 mobo not good.
dont simply give wrong statement if u not really sure about it... doh.gif
and also, i do read at some forums, some of the overclockers prefer asus mobo after hard modded coz it got quite good stability after o-ced..

That is totally wrong, I have no problem overclocking on my M2N-E

@gtoforce

If you get error even when you're not overclocking, check your memory timing

DFI is one hell of overclocking horse
but super hard to tweak here and there cuz minor mistake board wont post and u wont know what mistake u did

biostar - suck
better go for ECS

anyways, i just wanna resuscitate this thread

here's my OC results
still doing it gradually

Methods
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

n/b: actually i oc it little by little, firstly from stock 2.6ghz to 2.7ghz and did prime (5hours) & Super PI 1m,8m,32m all stable but forgot to take pic until my bro reminded me...haha

Stock

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

so here's the next step

1) AMD Athlon FX-60 @ 2.870ghz
Fsb - 205
Multiplier - 14

CPU-Z

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Super PI
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Temps during Super PI (it was the same during & after test)
Using Asus PC Probe
Attached Image

will continue with further
as can be seen from the probe, no increase in vcore or any other voltages are done
thats the virtues of FX series and that i need not tweak the ram cuz
i) its unlocked multiplier, so ram divider no use
ii) my mobo does not allow me to tweak the ram speed...it already starts at 166mhz...haha

later i might need some advice on the HT link speeds (if there's anything wrong)

by the way, since prime95 skarang sudah baru, which is the best test
small fft, in place fft or blend?
i mean i wanna save time...haha
and that everywhere i ask, they said super PI is better than Prime cuz Super PI tests all system with maximum stress while Prime is more towards CPU and focus is for long hours use...

what do u think?

max vcore is 1.400 in the bios
but there's an option for vcore overvoltage to be enabled (option between +100mv or +200mv)
maybe i try
haha
wanna prime this first

thats pretty low max vcore hmm.gif AFAIK s939 generation procs needed volts. My old manchester 3800+ needed 1.45v to reach 2.7ghz. Toledo core should be similar I guess, but yours surely better. Why havent tried going for orthos stability yet? Sigh.....FX-60, used to be my dream proc once upon a time.
