Well imo nothing beats actual real-world experience, so if the games and other apps work fine, forget prime and orthos
Wait....another thought, do you run other tasks while orthos or priming? It sometimes causes the program to show errors. This post has been edited by joe_star: May 17 2008, 07:09 PM |

QUOTE(gtoforce @ May 18 2008, 07:53 AM) i still dunno why orthos and prime failed and super pi stable at 3.0 ghz Which test do you use? Small FFT or Blend? Hmm.....since orthos and prime dont work, why not try using the stress test built into Everest software? OH yea.....and try running hyperpi dual superpi test. I have a feeling both the cores are not stable at full load. A friend had a similar problem with toledo 4800+ lastime.200fsb x 15multiplier ram at 166mhz vcore at 1.45 temp - idle 48 load 52 Added on May 18, 2008, 9:37 am QUOTE(AMDAthlon @ May 18 2008, 08:47 AM) Better have VERY good air cooling for that. TDP of FX-60 is 110W, not like AM2 procs which are mostly 65W This post has been edited by joe_star: May 18 2008, 09:37 AM |

Nice temps, but try running prime for at least 1 hour+. If it doesnt fail in less than 5 mins, then it might fail at 30-40 mins, or the next fail point i usually encounter is 2 hours.
Yah bro......but 3.0ghz on X2 is good whether new or old proc This post has been edited by joe_star: May 19 2008, 09:37 AM |

@ktek
DDR ram la bro. But actually it can be optimized for sub 30 sec. @TS I'm refering to my experience with procs in general, in my experience they seem to fail at those intervals. Ive experience it with both intel and amd socket 939 and AM2 |

For best benchmark results, take out 1 stick of ram and operate with dual channel. Hmm.....what divider are you using? I'm not sure about your mobo chipset but with nforce4 lastime the memory and cpu htt used to be linked, so oc-ing ram was similar to an intel system. Try to get the ram stable at around DDR400, and also use CL=2 and CR=1T. Dont be afraid to increase volage a lil, but not too much also la.
