1) nah, never n not as though as u might think of
2) explore ur enthu in studies, never take it as a burden. imagine u get gud results n got into ur desired course in the best Uni, while showin off to ur friends/relatives.

4) STPM is not as tough as some might say. unless u never study at all, most probably u wun fail, but u really have to put in some efforts for gud results.

If you self-study constantly, you can get better results than others do even if you do not go for extra lessons.

Buy many versions of reference books and use the internet when studying.Elicit as much information as possible from your teachers in school.

I've went thru Utar website, the min requirement for STPM candidates is 1 principal pass and with 3 credits in SPM. Does that mean i can still apply for it if i just get a 'Pass' for one single sub but failed the others sub in STPM ?? hehe, some kind of stupid question, but i'm just wanna confirm of it. tongue.gif

hahaha, like if you wanna take engineering course, but you fail your physics or math, then you wont be able to fulfill the basic entry requirement. And local uni will require you to pass in pendidikan asas.
Hk drama, i think possible also, since i was addicted with online game in my early upper six life sweat.gif

and yea, for me i used the internet to study chemistry tongue.gif

Yes,I meant tuition classes.
I have bought variety of STPM reference books and planned to study by myself.
In all the pre-u courses, you should not merely rely on your school text books but plenty of sources. For example, magazines, other reference books and the internet.

Tution is not that necessary unless you are bloody lazy.
If you have any questions, you can just ask your school teachers.

That's the main reason why good lecturer is of pivotal importance in tertiary education.

You can always have the best teacher to teach you and you can be an atrocious student if you are not hardworking and determined.

Success can only breed success if the students are heedful of his/her advice and teachings.

Every man is the architect of his future.

I would agree with you if you enrol in tuition lessons for language subjects.
For maths , you can always do exercises and get used to it.
For science subjects, you have to wreck your brain to understand every single detail.Once you have understood, you remember.

1. I dunno if I can say I regretted going to Form 6. The social life in my school was very fun, though the studying was painful.

2. Always focus on your studies from start of Form 6 till the end if you wanna get a good result. Don't neglect it and don't overstudy it too. I overstudied P. Perniagaan paper 1 since lower 6 (until got tired) and got C+ but I got A- for paper 2. Try to take tuition too, especially for maths. It's very important for F6 survival.

3. I can't comment on that since I'm in sastera stream. If anyone's going for sastera, don't take accountings until you're extremely good and you plan to become an accountant in the future. My combination: PA, Ekonomi, PP and Maths.

4. At the very least 4 Cs if you wanna get into public uni, it doesn't matter much if you're going for private uni though. If you end up with one F, everything goes down the drain.

Private uni still can I think, but public uni definitely cannot. For example UTAR's minimum requirement is 2 principle passes.

I don't think STPM is any harder than SPM. It all depends on how much affort you put in. As for my case, I went thru Form 6, got 1a, 2b and 1c but din get any place in Local U. Just got a message on the big screen that read: PERMOHONAN ANDA TIDAK BERJAYA. cry.gif . It really break my heart. I feel so useless at that time, espeacially a lot of my friends whose result are worst than mine are comfortably studying in UPM, UKM, UM and so on..
Don't ever think only those with good result can enter. One of my friend got 3As oso got nothing!. doh.gif . Now I do part time in UTAR and going to finish end of this year. Although I will grad half a year later than my friends, but I'm a graduate with 4 yrs working experience.

FYI, higher level education is a lot tougher than Form 6! DOn't ever think college and private-U is only for those ppl with bad results, some of the subject are damn hard! Btw, I study Maths T, PA, Chem and Physics but now I'm doing degree in Accounting tongue.gif . The point is, you can do what you want to do as long as you want to do it!

Good Luck!

I took STPM in 2003 and I have never regretted. I took 5 subjects and imagine you have to memorize 10 pages of formulas for physics, let alone understand all the concepts.

Most of my friends ended up in local U and I think they are coping with their studies well. While I chose to come to US although I got an offer from local U. (same major)

But if you are rich enough and do not plan to further your studies in local U, I would suggest you to go for A-Level or foundation studies. One of my friends will be graduating before her 21st birthday. sad.gif
