If you self-study constantly, you can get better results than others do even if you do not go for extra lessons.

Buy many versions of reference books and use the internet when studying.Elicit as much information as possible from your teachers in school.

I've went thru Utar website, the min requirement for STPM candidates is 1 principal pass and with 3 credits in SPM. Does that mean i can still apply for it if i just get a 'Pass' for one single sub but failed the others sub in STPM ?? hehe, some kind of stupid question, but i'm just wanna confirm of it. tongue.gif
Extra lessons mean tuition those things?
Use internet to study?? drool.gif

Yes,I meant tuition classes.
I have bought variety of STPM reference books and planned to study by myself.
In all the pre-u courses, you should not merely rely on your school text books but plenty of sources. For example, magazines, other reference books and the internet.

Tution is not that necessary unless you are bloody lazy.
If you have any questions, you can just ask your school teachers.

as for me, tuition was VERY IMPT! yeah, i would agree to make full use of diff resources arnd us, eg google, reference books... but if u can get a gud tutor, basically an A is not a prob if u follow his lessons consistently.

That's the main reason why good lecturer is of pivotal importance in tertiary education.

You can always have the best teacher to teach you and you can be an atrocious student if you are not hardworking and determined.

Success can only breed success if the students are heedful of his/her advice and teachings.

Every man is the architect of his future.

I would agree with you if you enrol in tuition lessons for language subjects.
For maths , you can always do exercises and get used to it.
For science subjects, you have to wreck your brain to understand every single detail.Once you have understood, you remember.

For those who are going to enrol in form 6 classes, here is a very good website providing information(notes) that is highly relevant and excessively more than what you will learn in Form 6. This website encompasses almost all maths and science subjects except PA.

I would say it is very comprehensive compared to most reference books I have got.

The website is for form 6?or more than form 6?
*
Of course more than form 6,it's a US publishing company.

Catch a glimpse of what you are going to study, you can refer to this website and I think it's more comprehensive and reliable compared to wiki or other reference websites.

www.answers.com is a good website too.

Dear devilelle,
Why you said you would rather choose A-level at the 1st place?A-level is much more easier to score?
Isn't their syllabus is more detail and harder to score compared to STPM?
Your reply is appreciated

A-level has always been simplified, meaning they have removed parts that are unnecessary and negligible whereas STPM has always been increased in its "depth",meaning a lot of junks that you won't see in A level appear there. However, this junks do help you to understand further, that's why STPM students learn more...ahh just an assumption.

can bio and chem paper aswering in bm?
*
I don't think you can answer them in bahasa malaysia since english as the medium instruction has been used for 5 years consecutively.

Perhaps you should also ask, can i answer A-level examinations using bm ?
Can i answer stpm bio and chem using bm and get admitted to top universities in uk/us?

And tell you, public U in msia are going to change the medium instructions for most subjects to english in the next 2 years.

dont be so pathetic. I got 4As in SPM and going into form 6 with this result is more pathetic than your situation. But still I worked very hard and now my effort pays off.

If you don't work hard now to follow up the path which you have chosen you will definitely regret later.
Work extra hard and you will be well awarded.

Life can never fail you. only you can fail it.
