Korg SP250 is RM2700 at CKmusic, which is a better one

It is quite normal. You can ask your teacher if he or she can get a book which is about sight reading. It will help you to improve a lot in sight reading test. Practice makes perfect.

I think for baroque music, Bach's Invention and Sinfonias are great. My favourite being Invention number 13 not too hard to play and sinfonia 15. Just a response to the list of songs in the first few threads.

Wow... It is too late. What I can tell you is very little because you are not beside with me tongue.gif Let say the chord is C. If the song is in slow pace, your left hand is C G C. No need play too much like C G C D E. For right hand, just play the chord C E G, E G C or G C E. If the song is in fast pace, your right hand is in chord mode whereas your left hand is C C. Get the top note of your chord sounds near to the melody and sounds it. Why do not you seek help from your friends who have experience in this or being a pianist in church? They can help you a lot.

Hi all,
i just wanted to ask (*but not sure if this is the right thread to ask or not, anyway i'll try my luck *)

I've a 3.5 yo daughter, me & mywife are planning to send her to music school to learn piano, we need some recommendations.

At the moment, we plan to get a portable digital piano (or electone?)
for the child to practise/play at home b4 getting the actual piano
(sorry donno how to call it, noob here) as my home no space to put
the bigger piano & also plan to shift/move house in next 1~2 year
(very mafan to hire ppl to shift/move the piano & tune it again later)

So, i want to ask which model/type of portable digital piano is suitable ?

1. Korg SP-250 ? LP350 ?
2. Yamaha ? (donno which model)
3. Other brands ? (casio?)

Must i get a standard size one (full-size kb) ??
or smaller one also can ? if get smaller one, will it affect the child progress of learning ?

pls advice as i am totally noob in this area.. and sorry got any mis-wording
as i donno the music world jargon. and if can pls advice also each of the recommended price...

Thanks in advance. smile.gif

korg SP250 can be gotten for RM2700 or less (after discount) from CK Music Imbi. Good sound, heavy touch.

LP350 is technically an SP250 with nice cabinet. If you can get it for around RM3400, I think it is good value!

Yamaha P85 SHOULD be priced around RM2500, although the touch is a bit lighter and it sounds a bit weak compared to SP250.

For the best sound on a budget, i totally recommend SP250! Yamahas are way overpriced in Malaysia.
