True. Anyway, remember last time they wanna do all out operation against dark tint, then cancelled because PM wants they to reduce traffic accident and not just go summoned people.  laugh.gif
*
PM not enough $$$ to maintain private jet and yatch already, so have to catch dark tint + HID + rear seat belts. sweat.gif

Anyway since fitting HID into car is deemed illegal by Gov, just don't install it loh. For those already installed, removed it and keep in a safe place. Hard to say later PM x-in-law open HID factory, the law might allow back again. icon_rolleyes.gif

Why fight/argue so hard just to want them approve car's owner to install?

some cars come standard with it (hid and the black glass), and it gonna cost alot to change the private glass to normal .

2 things i'd like to point out. When buying even though a recon, the car salesmen always puts priority to the customers. They'd change your agong glass for no fee. They will always ask, u wan clear or agong lense and all of the cost of changing will be borne by the company (Naza, Ming Heng, Pantai Bahru, Petra Motor, Rahman Brothers, Motor Confidence are some examples using this method as standard practices) . Then come the question of HID's which is like Q2 of this year.

The dark glasses replaced are by mostly "made-in-china" and the quality is poor. So therefore we opt not to change it and carry on with our lives. Only those super law abiding citizens will say " get it replaced to whatever is road legal" . Being in the 10 samans per year category, i chose not to opt for any clear glass for the fact that i actually like the dark agong glasses on my car. Not because the clear glass quality is bad, but because i really do like the dark tint agong glass on my car. it beats having v-kool on it anyday and buying RM1000 raybans or oakleys.

Now the other problem with HID is that we were only informed as of recently. I purchased my car early this year before news broke out. Therefore the alternative of conversion from HID's to normal halogen was not optional. If i were to go back to petra motors to request for this, they'd ask me to f*** off. So it does leave me in a spot to change. But thats not the case. I'm lazy to go ask. I prefer blinding HID's than halogen. its brightened up my roads and i'm so happy with it. Even if a representative from petra would come offer to change to halogen for me, i'd still turn him/her down.

optional changes have always been there (except for HID related issues). Its the matter only whether we want to or not. i chose not to. Now i have JPJ and traffic cops and blue uniformed numbnutts breathing on my neck and frankly it doesnt bother me. satisfaction of my car provides me with confidence on the road.

dear fellow lyn's. do what you feel is right. dont let anyone tell you to change or take it out. do it only if u want to. grumbling is not a way of happiness and neither is regretting.

Is that starting to catch now or another month?

If people just do what they feel right, then law in this world serves no purpose already. You want example? Like this - I hate sharkteef's son/daughter (or whoever dear to you). I feel it is right to off him/her from this world. My friends say" Don;t kill, it;s bad". I say " I do what I want". So i go and off sharkteef's son/daughter. I'm not grumbling, since there is no law to catch me. I'm not regretting either, because i just get rid of a thorn in my neck. Now you see why you should not do things just because you feel it is right or want to?

I see, for you the word "ignorance is a bliss" does suit you best. Blinding HID does brightened up our road, but have you considered other people as well? But I guess you haven't give it a thought.

I guess being rich and arrogance also contribute to this as well.

But I do agree with you on one thing. The dark glasses are better than the cheaply made in china glasses.

What I hate is that JPJ rulings have always belonged in a grey area. Now they seem to make up rules along the way and it costs money to have everything changed.

Go back to the Honda dealer that you bought the car from. Complain to them. Ask for their advice.

That means you're outdated.

Tell them that you thought stock HID are legal on roads. Why this thing happened? You got summon for that, that means it's not road legal. Since it's not legal, then what's the difference between factory-fitted and aftermarket?
Ya, they want to find trouble for you. Some people are ignorant will be duped by police for extra income.
