QUOTE(-gemini- @ Mar 31 2008, 10:32 AM)
Im not gona put them on my headlight
Gon b on my foglight.
Highly doubt tht will be considered posing hazard to other road users as it shines low.
Dont think it produces as much nuisance as bein installed on a headlamp as well (referrin to cheap, beamin high ciplak hids).
*
i've halogen in my headlamp, and i'll continue to remain my HID on my fog lamp
just switch on my halogen as usual to avoid all this hassle

good, can print this article out and i'll show to JPJ/police when they stop me

should b ntg gua~~
coz my fren change 2 JDM window then kena tahan JPJ~~
he say da window is original~~ then da jpj use pisau n sratch it~~
*
this is what i heard from those traffic police roadblock
they'll use key to scratch your window, then issue you summon on the spot too

however, this reminds me of an incident...
my family bought a 2nd hand 1st gen of CR-V so i sent the car to puspakom for transfer of ownership
the officer said the window is very dark, so he used key to scratch and tear the original vkool to half
holysh*t, i've no choice, but to tear all down
very disgraceful in front of many people

go and find a skin/eye specialist
ask the doctor to write a letter stating that you've eye/skin disease
then go to JPJ to seek approval

later jpj tell me 'tint front only lor, y must each windows sweat.gif'
*
well, my dad went for eye cataract operation few years ago
he can tint his car, but he doesn't want
i told him to find the doctor to write a letter, then give it to me
i want to tint my car

QUOTE(ston3r @ Mar 31 2008, 02:26 PM)
actually as i read on paultan's website.. JPJ doesn't even have a proper guideline on the HID crackdown.. whether it is the temperature color or bad angles.. they should come up with one before starting the crackdown.. sigh.. these ppl shakehead.gif
*
for them, they just ban everything, no matter what
it's easier for them that way

i would say wait till end of july, while a lot of users are complaining about this enforcement now

Saw 1 f**kin Vios last few days ago. Using HID white color. I think the fellow is going to hunt for Bats la.
I was on the opposite direction and the light was really blinding driver's vision.

These r those irresponsible drivers which caused HID to be banned. I think if HID is properly installed like those in luxury cars, its ok wa.
*
that's the thing why JPJ imposes serious ban on HIDs
because of this kind of ahbeng people

actually my dad's CR-V installed HID that blind users also because he didn't change his headlamp
but one thing good is he keeps his car in the house at night and drive in the morning only
i'm going to fix his HID soon
seriously have to take out

tinted ur crv lamp? cannot?
*
no, didn't try yet
i suggested 3 options for my dad: one is change to projector lamp, two is change back to halogen, three is leave your car at home
but i guess mostly is choice number 2 now

i`m guessing its the angle and it has those clear headlamp covers .. just a guess though .
*
have adjusted the angle, but still the same
you know, CR-V's reflector is big, so it can reflect a lot of light out
i tried to suggest of fixing projector headlamp, but time is constraint now
guess the easiest and safest way now is fixing halogen back

ermmzz..
1st blames idiot drivers, then blames jpj, then jpj's stupid regulations, then blames jpj top post holder's background, then blames ah beng, then blames car default fault.
whats next?
*
actually, we should blame JPJ's rules & regulations first
not those idiotic drivers first

Blames rules
Blames the person in charge
Blames ah beng pulak
and car default fault
*
oh, you're talking about this
i don't know who i should blame
but everyone should share the equal blame, i guess

blame JPJ for not standardising the rule
blame ah beng for simply hantam

why did i get catch when i on HID in johor?
and why didn't i get catch when i on HID in kl?
who should i blame? myself for pretending to be clever?

dude~~u get catch on HID coz of luck~~

sumtimes in our heart will say~~ y i kena but tat fella tak kena 1~~
*
in johor, JPJ and traffic police is extremely strict
there's an article in newspaper some days ago saying that a guy get caught in batu pahat, but why didn't get catch in JB
but it's true... i never get caught in KL before
i even consulted my police friend in KL and they say they'll not catch
that was few months ago

i think after the ban takes place, they gona ask for the car registration number and terus go their house n saman.
*
they'll issue you a summon, and go for JPJ inspection
this is what JPJ told me when i go for HID inspection volunteerly

QUOTE(Ultima @ Mar 31 2008, 04:06 PM)
jb not so strict, u can c a lot of mods theyve done tht still pass jpj mad.gif
*
that's why i said... there's no standardisation in JPJ rule
that's very sad and bad

i think the reason why JPJ wants to ban tinted glass is because it's hard to see incoming cars if the tinted car stops beside you
this is just my opinion
