QUOTE(fastreader @ May 3 2010, 08:33 AM)
got a question here...

let's say i wanna terminate my package, no contract....

my billing date is 28 of every month...

Q1: Do i have to go to Maxis center a few days earlier to inform them that i wanna cancel my account and ask them not to bill?..say like 5-6 days before billing date?..

Q2: or can i just go on the 27th and ask them to cancel my account immediately?..which my billing date is the next day, 28 of every month...

pls advise...
*
the most accurate way is...
call CS ask them to suspend ur account 1st.. give them the reason that u wanna terminate and dont wanna be charge if there is any delay in your termination process...

then go maxis center n terminate.. some forms to sign n thats it then ur next bill will came for ur last payment... after u make ur final payment... call CS again n ask them is ur account number still activ or already terminated.

this is the safest way

last time i terminate at BTS then my bill shows normal monthly bill... not prorated one.. when i ask CS they said no record of any termination done... ask them to suspend so that no further charge to my bill n after 3days the BTS staff call me say sorry for the delay coz their staff didnt key in their system sad.gif

That is what i think too but  I can get 3.6Mbps. So, it is definitely 3.5G.

After much digging, this is what i found

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Speed_Packet_Access
For some strange reason, my modem is still detecting WCDMA but running on HSDPA speed. Guess that is the problem when am not using Maxis modem.

same with me..blue LED but more than 2mbps speed.. sweat.gif

Mine is even weirder. It blinks dark blue as if disconnected, but I can still surf around. Pretty fast too.

I'm guessing that most who terminate either have poor coverage or heavy downloader/youtube user.....

From my personal experience, Maxis coverage is good. But the only downside is that their data limit is very very very low (unless you're a light surfer).
