Can I get a confirmation that Maxis broadband (without modem) is available contract-free AND can be terminated any time without penalties?

Read the info on the website. It should be without the contract (ie no commitment), and there is a penalty of 200 if terminated early. But im not sure for without modem.

Yes , Maxis' Data package works fine. You must have an existing postpaid line with maxis. The plan itself is contract free and you're not bound to any contracts. However , I am not too sure if you're signed up with a contract or not with Maxis' voice plans. You'll have to consult with Maxis on that , wkkay

The reason why Streamyx is better than MaxisWBB is because Streamyx is WiReD

Added on May 27, 2009, 12:28 amBtw, MaxisWBB is no longer suitable for heavy users that downloads *stuff*. It's meant for general web browsing.

Cant agree more. To be frank, I always sell Maxis as a last choice to my customers.

Too bad for me, streamyx isnt offered at my place, so i had to resort to either P1 or maxis. I think P1 offered an even lower cap (2gb i think). Even worse. And i dont even dl *stuff*.. lol.. but im a heavy gamer though.. =.=''

I would appreciate Maxis if they actually had an online tracker, to track your usage per day. Most Australian companies provide this service (but for a much larger cap of maybe 10-50gb LOL)

Yes this one apparently is different...they dont have activation fee (normally RM100). You just pay RM78 for first month upfront and you are good to go. No more RM200 handling fee too...making it TRUELY no contract! (i'm just copying whatever on the website)

plus do the direct debit thingy and you save RM10 every month

anyone using this one? compatible to all modems right?

My experience with Maxis has been sucky previously (use in Keramat and Damansara), but lately it's getting better though...maybe they are upgrading it by phases...KV is congested and wireless technology is like that i think when you have a lot of people using it rclxub.gif

Recently used in Alor Setar and Ipoh and its damn great (bless the non congested network of other areas) tongue.gif

Also agree that 3GB may not be enough...cmon Maxis hear us out! Upgrade the CAP! vmad.gif
