is maxis down or something?i just got my broadband 2 weeks ago.at the first three days its fine,but after that the connection is really bad.somethigs like 8.8 kbps.anyone facing same problem?

rite now my dl speed also around tat figure... 8 kbps.... 2 days ago it was 40kbps... sigh. are they capping me or bcoz they have techical prob

wau.........im use more than 3GB not capped....but to search good ip very hard......lol

what its like that?so i cannot use more than 3gb until next month? is it also infected when i stream video?cause apparently i cannot watch youtube or other stream.that would be awful for my footballl nite.

theoretically, after 3gb of usage, you will be capped and speed will be throttle down to i dont know how many kbps (celcom 3.6mbps throttle to 128kbps btw). My experience, you can still surf and open webpage relatively with decent speed, but youtube..super slow.. download using megaupload... super slow too like 4-8kbps. before caps.. I can download up to 300kbps constant (sorry no speedtest/download test to prove, but this is my honest experience)..

I think I have been capped after 3 days (downloaded file over 10gb+ ) when my throttle have been reset (throttle/cap reset early month, right?) and after tat my download speed always like I mentioned above. However 2 days ago my download speed suddenly increased to 40kbps constant, but that didn't last long..only a night.

What I really want to know how much speed do they give me after throttling down..

anyway how this capped thing will last long?so i have to wait next month or its will reset(?) after a week?

Wait early next month they will remove the cap and your speed will be like 'normal' haha. I still unclear though it is capped or technical problem though cuz last2 month even I have been capped I still able to download 20-40kbps..

is it worth it?i mean i can use all 3gb in one day.then for the next 29 days it will turn to crappy speed for rm98 per month?

2GB is just ridiculous for me but it might be alright for corporate user....coz they don't download *questionable* files ...For me I need at least 120GB/month.....

This guy, worked in Maxis. Being an uninformed customer, we depend on the staff's honesty and abilty to convey the truth and every detail of their service. Yeah, I know, everyone just want to do business. But does that means you have to cheat your customers? Not enough having Maxis cheating us, even their staff are doing it.

This guy apparently told me before I sign up MBB that the 3GB FUP is just for a reminder, and kept insisting he is a heavy DL-er bla bla (all the balls and bulls of how he DL-ed over 20Gb). Now that my speed has been capped, he tells me different stories altogether.

Since the company cheats ppl of the service in broad daylight, guess it makes their staff just as rotten.

I guess this can be a a life lesson to you and others reading this. NEVER trust a Salesman 100%...their main priority is to get your money....Whenever you want to purchase something or subscribe to a service, do your own research...so you'll know when a Salesmen is *bluffing*.

Those salesman dont know how to be ethical by providing false information and such. If they dont know, they should said they dont know.

But there is some questionable statement about the caps, cuz it is very random. I have been strictly capped starting around last month. Whereas my friends in Penang claimed although he download more than 20gb the speed still constantly 80kbps.

And in the case post above, maybe the salesman mentioning he can download much is because maxis didnt aware of his behavior and neglect the capping thingy. just sharing my 2cents. too much random speed/capping happen I also dont know how to react
