I only have a lowly SR60i.
But I love it! My younger sister broke it. I sent it for recabling, and then my sister bought it off me. |

QUOTE(E1 - AKG @ Jan 3 2015, 08:23 PM) It's not ruler flat, and it doesn't have the nicest looking measurements looking at published measurements all over the net. But, the silky mids, the "bite" of the treble. Bass isn't much but certainly not anaemic. I listen to different kinds of rock and metal, and bass is just enough for most of them. I am in love with how electric guitars sound with these. It's like they're made with guitar amplifiers in mind. It's like having a guitar amp, augmented with a full range. |

Tried various Grado's version over the last few years, depends really if you like their kind of sound and odd construction. Also doesn't help it is highly uncomfortable on the bowl pads for long listening periods which is kind of a turn off.
So far the RS1/RS2 tried previously couple years back have been my favourite. That can be said however that the PS1000/PS500 is an absolute piece of horribly tuned flagship with its hot treble, almost non-existant sub low end bass extension and the price they are charging is absolutely bizarre as well. All these of course was through the non-e version which was the older version. Either way, there has been an existing thread for Grado headphones previously. Well T0mmy Lee, best way is to audition yourself and try cans to your preference.
E1 Audio @ Level 3 Sungai Wang is a good place to start. They have a nice selection to audition. If you have your own source, it'll be even better for you since it'll be closer to what you'd listen to. |

Well for me PS500e treble is not bright or harsh at all..much much better than lower range grado and smoother than RS1..i was worried at first about the treble..but after proper burn in and connect it to AK240..sound is superb..best value Grado for me..So far the RS1/RS2 tried previously couple years back have been my favourite.
