hey guys, went to the bose store in the gardens mall today and had a listen to their around-ear headphones and came back a little disappointed.
How does the SR80 compare? I like the bose b/c of the weight (light) & comfort, but unfortunately the sound doesn't match.
Have any of you listen to both? My apologies if this has been asked before, but the grado thread (part 1 and 2) is over 120 pages and I don't know where to start.
Added on December 13, 2009, 5:25 pmOh, and does anyone know how the audio technica AD700 compare? I heard they are more comfortable, but less bassy, and better for games and movies.
The Grado's are good for rock and roll.
AD700 has wide soundstage while grados are tend to be forward with the high frequencies.. you might wanna try it out first if you get the chance though.. as diff headphones suits different people.. grados don't have that much of a bass impact but the bass is well presented.. not too much nor too little.. have it like this.. the AD700 puts you in the audience of a concert while the grado will put you ON the stage.. that is the only way that i could think how describe how different this two headphone is..

Hi guys , any idea where to get services for the Grado headphones ? I think my Igrado wire needed to be resolded , I've lost the left side audio .
you pulled out the wire from driver is it? does your igrado under warranty? why dont you send it back.. it is much safer that way...

My SR60s still sitting there. Not used very often anymore as sound is intermittently on and off on the left. Is there someone who can fix this as a cheap service or do I really have to recable the whole thing via PcWorks?
you can DIY it on your own.. provided that your driver is still working.. well, it is hard to blow the driver it self anyway.. but there is a possiblity.. cause i dont think that the wires can be pulled out easily.. or maybe somewhere along the cable, there is a loss of connection..
modding/fixing grado headphones are rather straight forward.. but you need to have the guts to disassemble it.. i modded my sr60i the minute i got it.. recable it with startquad cables n canare plugs all on my own..
