grado's sound signature is a tad bit bright.. even to my ears.. not sure what will help to reduce the brightness.. other than that.. i love my sr60i with canare f-12 plug, grill mod n put some tack it inside the air chamber to reduce the vibration

looks like the music by design number on page 2 of this thread is dead. Did a google search for the shop with no such luck. Did it move/ shut down?

Hey there Grado fans.
Tomorrow I will receive my first ever headphone, which will be the Grado SR60i.
Not calling myself a fan yet though as I haven't heard of it. But I hope it's money well spent. 

I made some very serious thinking. I guess that if I were to get myself in an unfamiliar territory(open cans, first ever headphone), I guess I should save myself that extra hundred RM and be on the safer side.
Hey, If I like them so so so so so much, I may go straight to the higher-end "Allegrados" like the Grado RS1 or Alessandro MSpro sometime in the future. The performance gap would be very exciting. 

I'd have to think of a home setup though.

guys, i've just purchased my sr60i and i should be able to give my ear a nice eargasmn as soon as i got back from work...

1st, as what i heard about... sr60i can get equivalent sound like the sr80i, IF you upgrade the ear pad to bowl type... true?

2nd, what is with the 128 or 320 kbps mp3? how can i get those better quality mp3? big difference??

lastly, i am happy to join the grado family ^^

i am a previous skullcandy user.. bought it at UK, because of style and fashion... end up knowing the sound of this can is like for wannabe... XD... luckily i get back to track ...as im a hobbyist of guitar player....

And that is why audiophile headphone never meant to use for gaming. If u want to play game, to get all direction sound effect u have to use such 5.1 channel gaming headphone at least.

It is like u buy a mercedes but drive it off road. It still a transportation but it was built not for off road.
