how good is that P5Q???

im thinking of getting it and ur experience with is way better than those review online

Hard to say,only tweak once but something like:Delay or advance the bus,depend on ram etc etc and vmch
I know it but kinda hard to say to you,basically it give better performance or better stability,tied to your ram mostly(How well bin,chipset etc etc)

hmmm.... advance = better performance, delay = better compatibility??
well my mobo has settings for ram, nb and cpu @@... all of those clock skews are linked together???

well initialy i had the p5q3 deluxe and p5q deluxe first retail release

the p5q3 was fussy about using d9gt'rs and sux like max
the p5q deluxe ram clocking was better than m2f for 4gb kit
but was bad on 4 dimm clocking of 4x1gb
performance around the same

What do you have to say for maximus formula? 2 gb kits a lot better then 4gb or just slight diff?

And anyone who know a lot abt the skews,mind sharing some insights?

maximus formula?? well options are limited
not as good as m2f or RE
well boards gets better cant compare old tech and new

skewings...
sishh already explained in RE thread in XS on how to test it
basically for ddr2.. dont expect much from all this mobo's except for dfi's x48 UT/LT's

O...so ure saying all those boards also isnt that good?the skews?

this is something that i cant teach u on skewing

for me its kindda easy

skewing is not for higher performance
its to correct errors between ram/NB/CPU for 775

basic skews
cpu skew
nb/ioh skew

mem skews - cmd skew
clk skew
ctl skew

this is basic
mem skews if u dont have those three no point in skewing the mem's

have anyone try to OC q8200 with maximus formula..? I can only reach 2.7ghz from 2.33ghz, DRAM:FSB 1:1.. 395mhz... increasing to 400mhz cause the system cannot boot..

This board,gtl ref and clock skew is important.
I clock on some not well bin/non d9 ram so got to delay some skew else it won't stable

currently using ASUS P5Q3 with QX6800 333*11 = 3.67ghz

still learning the bios with some new ram settings...

recently been busy with Uni stuffs and need a stable rig to do projects.. so i just clock the proc to 3.67ghz and ram at ddr3 1333...

asus p5q-deluxe

my maximus 2 formula just arrived a few days ago. still getting the cooler for it, i've got good experiences with the hdt 1283 @ red scorpion ( i have one currently cooling my e6600 @ 3Ghz). it should fit the m2f right ?
pairing it with a q9550.

how is p5q-e/p5q-deluxe compared to the ep45-ud3p i'm using currently?might consider trading for it ,wanna try out asus mobo
