Your problem solve ???
If not, try set the ram timing ( Row Refresh Cycle Time ) = 52 or higher if using 2 x 2gb ram...

hi fellow Asusian biggrin.gif

am a P5Q3 user and first time Asus mobo, unfortunately i am having some issues, hope you guys can help.

i had created a thread HERE

basically 2 problem:

1. no beep sound when i don't attached RAM and boot.
2. go into BIOS and change any single thing (e.g. disable floppy), Save & Exit from BIOS, system power down to reboot, but it will not boot up. fan everything moving, LCD screen blank with the LED on standby.

i had tried clear CMOS with moving jumper, even replace the mobo battery. but no luck so far.
here's the spec:

CPU : Q9300
Mobo : P5Q3
RAM : DDR 1333Mhz 1GB X 2
HSF : CCF
HDD : 1 SATA 300GB
GPU : IceQ HD4670 Turbo (OC 780-->810MHz; 1000MHz-->1100MHz)
PSU : Thermaltake TR2 RX 550W

Hello everyone!

Have decided to dust off my old WC loop & currently have it running on my Q6600 on Striker Extreme

Verified working yesterday after 16 hours of Orthos blend test at stock

Woke up this morning & decided on a pre-breakfast OC to a modest 3.0GHz, & that's where the problem starts

Apparently, the 3.0GHz reading shows up on POST & Windows boots...unfortunately, CPUz seems to indicate that my Q6600 still runs at 2.4GHz

Any Striker Extreme users here know why this happens?

FYI: Manual settings on BIOS, 9x multiplier, FSB 333 (1333 in BIOS; quad pumped value), a-sync RAM @ 667 (don't want to OC Kingston kapcai)

Im quite sure there is error sound such "Overcloking Fail. Please enter setup bla.. bla.. bla.." on Asus board. What could be the main problem? Usually, what the voltage seems to be less & need to add more?

Nope, none of that sort of error...

From the POST, overclock is a success (Just wish I can make a POST screenie). The only problem is that it doesn't show up on CPUz. Is this like, a real problem or is it just a failling of the software, or even the motherboard monitors?

However, will try to overvolt too next time in setup.

I dont know how to describe. This error come at the post screen when I start my pc. At first, I already stress the setup & all went smooth, no fail in stress, Linpack, prime95 etc. After sometimes I turn it off & later I want to play games, it just stuck with such error. Haih.. pening already, surf the net also no answer.. doh.gif

Just want to have you detail your hardware, if you don't mind...

Even without overclocks, my board sometimes just makes an annoying continuous beep, which is usually resolved by a reset. Its always a matter of the luck of the draw with Nvidia chipsets I hear...

Greetins,

Hello I've been a Asus Mobo user since 2 years ago, I was using Striker Extreme and so unfortunately it died weeks ago and I had to buy another one while it's RMA.

So I bought..Maximus Formula II, not very familiar with the interface yet..

Well anyway, I'd like to ask some advice regarding Overclocking as I have some issue..

My spec :-

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.40Ghz
Motherboard: Asus Maximus Formula II
HSF: CoolerMaster Eclipse (Crappy, I know, lol)
Memory: Corsair XMS2 6400 1GB x 2 @ 5-5-5-15
GPU: Gigabyte 285GTX
PSU: Enermax Infiniti 720W
Case: CoolerMaster RC830

Okay, to be frank I've never been able to overclock much at the days I use Striker Extreme because I don't have the time to do..
Only recently I tried to clock then it died..not from OC though..not sure why -.-

So my real overclocking learning starts with this Maximus II, which I have been facing some problem all along..
I've attached my rough spec below

Problem, is, well, now my rig is sorta stable at 3.4ghz, I can play games and stuffs without BSOD-ing and it's been a week.
However, whenever I tried to Prime it, it will get error within 10mins or worst auto-reboot.

I checked my temperature, not sure if its accurate or not though, 85 celcius degree, it can never go above this as Tj.Max stated 85, but the truth that I learn is E6600 B2 Tj.Max is only 70 celcius degree =.="
Now my question is, what could be the problem? My best bet is the heat issue though -.-"

Sorry for the long nag and thanks for reading =)
