We must united together to defend our right.


I' ve terminated my maxis broadband after 1 year of use. The said that they will not charges rm 200 for handling fee for discontinuion of services. But today i received bill from maxis that charges me RM 200 for handling fee of discontinuing, and broadband activation fee waiver rm 100.

So , i need to pay another rm 100, or else they will take legal action to me.

What should i do, i don't keep the receipt that stated that i ve terminate the services, i even ask the receiptaionist at maxis center at sunway pyramid. and she said that i don't have to pay rm 200 termination fee because i ve use more than 1 years.

Please advices. thanks.

Are you still under contract or something? It's ridiculous for them to charge disconnection fees if you are not under contract anymore. Maybe something wrong with their billing service.

Okay... I am going to have a free Maxis Broand Band soon. I think in about 2 weeks time. I will let you guys know how it perform...

maxis wbb really, really...really bad in Nilai area...only in da morning between 6.00-11.00 a.m I'll get good downloading speed

Count me in. Been using basic package more than a year, only get a spur of speeds in the morning, then totally crawl evening till night. Cant even browse properly at night, even google homepage have to be refreshed several time or i would get 404 or megaclick error (using firefox). Will provide SS later today.

As for me, I've been using MaxisBB for almost 1 1/2 years by now..My contract will end in this June very soon. So far, maxisBB has not given me any inconvenience in such ways you guys had. I'm staying in Segambut and sometimes located at Bangsar, been enjoying my internet connection just fine. Heavy or many downloads at a time didint give me any problems so far. I am a heavy internet user myself. So I don't know what's the problem exactly with your MaxisBB. Bcos as for me, I'm doing just fine. Until now..Plug and play,night and day..

well, my complaint were badly written as i am too mad to even think straight...

Wow, right after the email was sent, problem solved.

Now i can connect to the network. So calling their hotline is totally useless.
Go straight at their exec or management is better...

i have some questions, my brother is using the maxis wbb and he's getting some incredible speed (200KB/s for rapidshare), but i really wonder if:

1. it'll work as good with high areas like 10+ floor and above for condos.
2. torrent...absolutely nono?

As many people said, the higher you are, the slower/unstable it goes
Torrent is fine... I get average 40-50KB/s ... which is almost the same as i am getting with my Screamyx

maxis 3g line for mobile phone also sucks !!!!.

You can't predict and compare apple to apple if the location of where you are going to connect is different.

I just suscribed maxis broadband last week. RM88 per month.

I just tested the speed at home.

Enjoy it while you can... 2 months after that u will be cursing Maxis like i did...

Probably no WCDMA/HSDPA connection at that area. If the Maxis Connection Manager does state WCDMA/HSDPA, then those speeds are pathetic. Really back to good o' days hahaha!
